tiffers

Whisper "bleep boop" to yourself when you're sad.
I've been exclusively rollersetting for a while now, but a few months back I wanted to flatiron just for the hell of it. Let's just say I won't be doing it again any time soon. There's such a huge difference in my hair when flatironing, my hair was so incredibly dry compared to when I rollerset.

I won't need to be using heat anyway cause I'm now in the dc every other day challenge, so my hair will constantly be in a bun. No time for heat!

So to answer my own question: once :D

Maybe 3 or 4 times.

Heat tends to make my hair very dry too.
I'm half wigging it so I dont think Ill be using much heat if any for the rest of the year.

i gave myself 4 flatiron passes this year. and those are for length checks. I have only used one this year so far. and i will use another in August and then another in December. So thats only three this year if i stick to that plan.

I flat iron at least 3x/month, so I chose 20+......but I'm gonna cut that number down as soon as I get my bonnet dryer and learn how to rollerset:yep:

Zero.

I'm way too lazy to do anything that requires heat. I haven't used heat on my hair since 2006.

I voted 5-10. I"ve been letting a stylist flat iron every six to eight weeks. I sometimes do a cheat set and flat iron the roots. Ask me again at the end of the year.:lachen:

once. had a pic taken for an article at work, so i flat ironed and threw a track or two in the back to look cute. since then, nothing but the bonnet for deep condish.

About 5 times for my entire head, if my fotki is accurate. I have been in wigs (only flat ironing to blend my bangs) most of the year and also rollersetting after my BKT.

I've Used Heat this year about twice. I flat ironed a coupla' times in May after my 2nd "Successful" Self-Relaxer. And I could feel myself start to get carried away again with relying on heat. So, I promptly put it away.

I started to see myself wanting to pull it out everyday.:wallbash: Which is easy to do with you are addicted to heat and straight styles.:perplexed

Like I am (wish I could say "was") But I saw how easy I could get out of control.:nono:

And Now that I am Phony-Bunning all Summer, it will stay quitely in the drawer where it belongs. I was going to say: In the trash......but it's "New"

I straightened with a pressing comb twice, and used a curling iron but no more! The first time was for a special occasion and the second time was to try out this new Sabino Moisture Block. The shipping was so fast and I was all excited so I decided to try it. It's pretty good...as long as I don't stay outside for too long. :look: I just don't think there's anything that will keep my natural hair from actually reverting in this Georgia heat! 67% and higher humidity! Whew!

Anyway, no more heat for me for a very long time. Seems like a waste of time.

So far I have flatironed twice since the year began (once this month and once last month).

I've used heat twice this year. Once in January to flat iron my hair for a trim and the last time was in April when I got a relaxer. That's it for me. I don't think I will use my flat iron again. If I want my hair straight I will just roller set and wrap it.

Zero. I haven't used heat in more than two years. I am currently trying to work up the courage to blow my hair with the new blowdryer and thermal protectant I just bought for a new look.

During the winter I had and choice but to use heat. Boston winters are no joke! I actually rollerset AND flatiron my hair. I think I have used heat 15-20 times.
Its been raining every frickin day so I've been dcing and co-washing.

Call me old fashioned, but you'll never get me to flatiron without rollersetting first.
