I thought you had to wait 1-2 weeks to relax after using sulfur. A member recently told me this.

I only stopped using it because it never really worked to get rid of dandruff for me, in all the many years that I used it. Essential oils, KeraCare, or just washing my scalp work much better for me. Plus, I don't like the smell.

However, if it worked for me, I would have never stopped using it. I still have a jar.

I can't remember what Sulfur 8 smells like, but I never gave the Hollywood Beauty version a second though, so to me, it's somewhat of a neutral smell. Nothing to complain about

I'd never heard this before. I've been using sulfur for years, and have never had a problem in the past. I'm glad you mentioned this though, 'cause I was gonna put some on my scalp tomorrow morning. I'll opt for some castor oil instead!

I read this on one of the Threads too! I can't remember if it was one of the Self-Relaxing Threads or which?erplexed

I know the Original has an "Unscented" Formula and a Light Forumla as well. I may have to pick some up just to have it on hand.

It was one of those tried and true "staples" in the black community. I think the 8 comes from "allegedly" 8 essential oils or something like that.

My friends stylist told her there was no need to stop using sulfur due to relaxing or touch ups. Her hair is beautiful. She uses MTG, and she grew from a short bob last year to back shoulder blade in less than a year.

i was reading some of what was being said in another thread, and people were mentioning the combination of relaxers and sulfur greases causing bald spots. if that were the case, i'd have no hair!
