Hey guys! I am a faithful presser for my ENTIRE life, I Blowdry and but a little chi silk on it, then use Dudley's pressing cream. I put it all over as I would the chi silk and two make a great barrier for heat damage on my hair. I am a straightened natural and pressing is the best thing for me. Although I use my flat iron when Im in a rush I would prefer to use my pressing comb!I just found this info. yesterday. I googled the question "hot comb pressing tips" and found online book info. from the Milady Cosmetology book. Click here: http://books.google.com/books?id=4G...1azuBg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1
and then scroll up to page 412. (It won't let me copy and paste) You'll see on that page how to "temper" a comb and how to clean it. Good Stuff!
You must give me tips on how you press your hair and what you use (pressing creams, protectants, etc) 'cause I bought a comb and stove.
I dont mean to hi-jack this thread but i was thinking of this same thing this morning... for you pressing girls....what type of pressing combs are you using? Electric or Stove? And where would be a good place to get one? TIA
