Hey soz for long title!
Basically i went and did a lot of searching on good products to use for my regimen when relaxed. In the process kind of spent a lot but its worth it!
Ladies i just need some advice on whether it would be better practice to start afresh with my new products or can i still use the old products aswell(to finish them off) and see how my hair responds?

Tia!

There are products that both naturals and relaxed use, such as oils and moisturizers. Do you have any specific examples?

Use your old stuff and see how your hair responds. If you find that you need something more then buy something new. Don't waste money buying new stuff if you don't have to.

I still use the same staple products I did when natural. The biggest difference is that I use the protein products more frequently after my touch ups.

It seems like you have more than enough products in your arsenal to keep your relaxed hair healthy. Just pay attention to your hair. Maybe you should start keeping a hair journal detailing what you use, when, and the results. That way you'll be able to pinpoint the culprit if a problem does arise.

Thanks for that, i have more protein based products in this regimen and will use just after ive been relaxed.

Thanks, when you tried was your hairs response instant or gradual?

I gradually replaced my products.

When I was natural I only used water, castor oil, Joico shampoo and conditioners, ACV, henna, and VO5 conditioner.

My relaxed hair needs more protien than my natural hair did.

I tried to henna my relaxed hair once. It made my hair really hard and dry, but I may have just needed to change my recipe.

Castor oil is too heavy for my relaxed hair.

I probably could still do ACV rinses, but i'm using Roux PC for that purpose.

The Joico stuff didn't do much for my hair execpt the K-Pak and it didn't seem strong enough for my relaxed hair.

I don't co-wash anymore and using the VO5 as a leave in wasn't working like it did as a natural head, so the V05 went out the window

I mean, I could still use these products on my hair, but they don't produce the desired results on my relaxed hair.

Cool, thats good to know, i want to introduce the joico fairly soon after relaxing but it seems my hair will respond accordingly.

Thanks everyone.
