regular moisterizing conditioners...

Can I use the ORS treatment pack or would that be protein overload? I have Motions regular condtioner but my hair hates it. What's a girl to do?

Did you do a two-step or the 2min?

If the two step, I wouldn't use ORS pak. I'd probably put some olive or coconut oil on my hair since they have moisturizing properties while I run to the store and get a real DC.

If the two min, then ORS pak probably wouldn't be horrible since it's usually considered light to medium protein but if you're protein sensitive I wouldn't do it.

^^^ Yep ITA. You really should have had your moisturising DC ready to use before doing an Aphogee treatment.

Do you have any cheapies like Suave Humectant? If not, then yeah - throw a wig/scarf on it and run to the store.

Thank you ladies!! Looks like I will be going to Sally beauty supply! I thought I had some Elucence left but it spilled out into the cabinet so yeah, it was empty...

I would have scraped together a hot/warm oil treatment with some EVOO and Honey with a dab of reg con to make it creamier....but then I'm such a PJ I'm never truly completely out of options. :perplexed

IMO: You have to Plan for your Service. I mean not to be anal or anything....:lachen:but I write out my regimen before my wash day so I know exactly what I am going to do. I may switch out products, but basically I know what I am going to do and what I plan to use.

You should always plan to DC with Moisture after Every Protein Treatment. So, if you know you're going to do something like a 2-Step (Heavy Protein) I would have made sure before I started, that I had everything lined up. I would have known my other conditioner had spilled prior to getting started and needed to be replaced.

I don't have enough "hair" for possible avoidable setbacks.:nono:

That's just how I do it.:ohwell:

I've started 'planning' what I'll be doing for my hair too during any given month. It really helps and keeps me focused. I wish I was as organised with all other aspects of my life!

That's how I do it. I just finished doing my aphoghee and is now under the dryer moisturizing. Shoot I know in the middle of week what I'm going to do for my Sat wash. I would definitely make a trip to the BSS!

Ok, I "planned" for this as well. I noted in my second post that I realized the conditioner bottle was empty b/c it spilled under the sink. That is where I realized I needed something better than motions. I use Aphogee all the time and keep conditioners, but do to a recent robbery of my hair products, I don't have as many as I used to. I used the Elucence yesterday on my daughter's hair and put it under the sink, so when I went to use it after the Aphogee today, I realized I didn't screw the cap on tight enough and it spilled out.

Meka - You know in addition to being hair care fiends around here in addition to being serious about products, especially conditioners. You knew you would get good advice, a little spank, and sympathy. I too am a planner - though when I realized a couple of weeks ago my grandson had filled my silk peptide powder with water, we almost had a funeral over here.

So did you get conditioner or not? And how did your hair turn out?

To the bolded- It wouldnt be LHCF if I didn't get spanked. LOL

Girl, yeah I got a conditioner. I went to a girlfriends house and got some Humecto from Keracare. I didn't really like anything the Sally's around here carries b/c they don't really cater to ethnic people. So I DC'd with the Humecto and rinsed in the shower. Sprayed my Aphogee leave in, mixed Lacio Lacio and Castor Oil together and Im airdrying. Once dry, I will do some bantu knots on it and take down in the morning.

Thanks ladies!!
