what products r u ashamed that you EVER loved and used?

I was just sitting here thinking about the products I have sworn by and used..that were really (boooo):perplexed. Here is my little list. I hope nobody still uses these products because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. If you like it then do your thing. Okay here goes

Any type of black/brown gel..what was I thinking?

Spritz..on top of my black/brown gel.

Pink lotion..okay this is official for weave only..if even that.

Blasphemy! I love me some Ecostyler black gel! :yep:

I have a small container of Super Gro collecting dust in my bathroom. I don't know what came over me a few weeks ago when I put some on my hair to "add shine" but my hair was hard as hell and slapped me across the face
 
Wouldn't call it ashamed for having used certain products. Because at the time I thought the products were just fine.

So here are mine:
Self-relaxing - took my hair out twice- I will never self relax again

Using only oil sheen to moisturize my hair - My hair had swang and was shiny but I was shedding like crazy. Lost enough hair for 2 heads.

Using any type of old school hair grease - hate the greasy feel

Pantene For Women of Color Shampoo & Conditioner - makes my hair dry and dull

Creme of Nature Shampoo- Used it as a teen but I can't remember why I didn't like it. I just know I have a bad reaction to it whenever I see it on a store shelf.

IC Tea Tree Oil Moisturizer - Too light for my hair. Did nothing for my hair.

Isoplus Avocado Oil Natural Remedy Hair Dressing - Made my hair greasy. It sat on my hair and didn't moisturize at all.

Botanicals Creme Moisturizer - Too light for my hair. Did nothing for my hair.

Brown Gel
Any sort of hairgrease
Bonding Glue (I was off the hook with this)
Peroxide to put highlights in my bangs (wow)
Spray Haircolor
Fantasia Hairspray (extra hold..hair wouldn't move for days)

okay so like i wanted to put my hair into a ponytail and i found an old jair of Blue Magic and Jam...im so ashamed
 
Kool Aid, YES, Kool Aid to dye it!! :lachen:

Blue haircolor spray (okay, it was the 80's) LOL

Grease

Gold Glitter (the silver wasn't so bad though) :spinning:

Spritz....OUCH! I cringe thinking of using that stuff

Beads, string and whatever else looked nice inside of my french role!!

Tar Grease--hey it works.

My MN mixture---yes I still do....a cheap and easy to access growth aid.

That's it, everything else I got rid of and my hair is actually better.
 
Neon colored jel...especially for my ultra swirled side burns.

Bergamont grease, I grew up on that stuff.

Jam for my waves.

In recent years, any growth aids, that includes MN, GroAut, BT, and MT. I spent almost a good hunnid on them, and no growth spurts. I know better now though.
 
Dax grease (used to love the smell too)
brown gel
Baby love moisturizer (used on my daughters hair when she was a baby) now she is 8 it does abolutely nothing
 
DAX! That nasty green colored vaseline! LOL

I thought it was going to give me hair like that lady on the label!!
 
JAM (the gel)- only b/c it would get in my eyes & sting like crazy when I sweated (in my hair) and especially when I went swimming- which was like every day & still I would use it to slick back my hair- so ashamed but I was a teenager...:ohwell:
 
when it comes to hair....I'm ashamed of using that stink sulfur 8 stuff when I had braids. I hella stunk.

Also ashamed that I ever used KY jelly cuz the guy I used to date wasn't doing his job. bwahhh. now thats funny!

When I was a teen, I use to lighten my hair by pouring a bottle of peroxide on it and letting it sit. After all of these years, my mom still talks about how beautiful my haircolor was. She never knew what I did to get it. LOL :grin:
