So, I'm tired of my scissor happy stylist and I'm thinking about having a friend give me relaxers......
  • My question is , what are some of the biggest mistakes people make when having someone who is not a professional relax their hair?

The biggest one I know is to have someone who is not used to doing relaxers getting the relaxer on too much of your already processed hair!

1. Combing the relaxer through the previously relaxed hair
2. Failing to neutralize sufficiently
3. Failing to protect the previously relaxed hair
3. Significant overlapping onto the previously relaxed hair when applying the relaxer
4. Overprocessing
5. Underprocessing

I've had even the professionals do these. You just never no.
