^^I know right? This makes me all the more confident in my decision to become a DIY'er. I pray she's alright.

Man stylists, what is up with them? I seldom hear good things about them.

I'm sorry you had trouble with them. If I ever make it back to a stylist :nono: they are going to hear the riot act before they even start on me!

Why do you all Still Trust these people???

:sekret:

Sorry.. I had to say that.

Well, since there is a mult-page thread in the salon-review forum praising this salon, coupled with my own experiences there, I thought I was going to a professional for something that I could not do myself.

Sorry to hear this MissJ. I was thinking about going to a salon this weekend for a trim (:spank:) but I'll pass.

Hopefully, this is something that can be corrected without having to cut.:bighug:

Oh Gawd...
I just got off the phone with my sister and told her I'm going to a salon this Friday. It'll be my first time this year. I'm scared now!

But... I am coming back for updates!

Wow... Well, that is too bad.

I don't trust ANY stylist..... no matter what reviews there are.

However - to each her own.

I am sorry for your bad expereince.

Whew this really scares me. I haven't been to a hair salon in 15 years. Braid shop yeah but not hair salon. I can't catch a case because I need my government job.

I've been to a salon 3 times in the last 3 years because I am just too skurrred of stylists. I hope once you get home and assess your hair, it's not as bad as you think.

Umm.. not that I'm a stylist.... but I don't think all stylists are evil cutting too much, over perming devils...

lol.. that being said..

I await the pictures.. :lachen:

with all the salon horror stories i have decided to cancel my appointment with aveda. i have been good with doing my hair myself anyway.

sorry you went through this.

Girl if you can do your hair your self...do it! 60% of the so-called licensed pros, have no clue about healthy hair care. 30% know about healthy hair care practices; but will not share their knowledge for fear that you will stop coming in for services. And the remaining 10% are super hair gurus; but they are hard to find, keep up with and afford.
If you can ladies... become a DIY'er!:yep:

because we should be able to
this is their profession
and not all of us have the time or skills to perform these procedures ourselves
i cant see myself being a diy'er
it's so hard for me to do my hair.....it's such a hassle for me to even wash it
:nono:

oh and please put the stylist on last
for our sake
please do it

I hope everything is okay MissJ. :hug3: Bad stylists have scared me straight for four years. I would love to get a nice trim, but I am scared I will leave scalped. I am working on teaching my SO and family members to do it.

Right on sister. My hair THRIVES away from those people.:nono: A shop will NEVER see me again.

I am sure you could become a diy'er. It takes practice for sure... But I am sure you can do it.

I personally use the term 'professional' loosely...

Again - to each his own.

I am soooo afraid of hairstylist. I realize now my stylist always gave me GREAT AND HOT weave hairstyles but never took care of my hair. I don't want to wear fake hair for the rest of my life.

I am a PROUD DIY and my hair is THRIVING big time!

Miss J I hope your hair isn't too bad.
