What is Ayurvedic? :perplexed...

Also, where can I get Castor Oil, How are you guys using it... application through a bottle?

You can purchase Jamaican Black Castor Oil from www.sams247.com which is cheaper than where I purchase it from (honeyfig.com). I just put my some on my finger and apply to where ever I want it on my hair (ends and roots).

If you are relaxed maybe you should consider textlaxing??

ITA. Transitioning to a texturizer has been key in getting thickness back for me. I rollerset my hair last Saturday, took a picture, and the increased thickness made my jaw drop (you can see the pictures in my fotki in the hair styles album).

I have noticed my hair has thickened up, waiting longer between relaxers. Which makes me want to go natural. :yep:

I'm one of those people that say you can't really thicken the ends. But if you want some thick new growth, here's my suggestion:

1. No heat on your ends. That means not flat ironing all the way down, or not flat ironing at all.

2. Eating right. Veggies and beans all the way baby!

3. Vitamins (especially anything with "B" in front of it. MSM is a type of B-vitamin. So is Pathenol.

4. I heard castor oil helps but I'm not too sure of that as I have never used it.

5. And my most important tip for relaxed haired people: do not relax your hair bone straight. Do what you have to do to keep the curl on your hair. Don't relax your hair at all or add conditioner/oils to your relaxer.

No Heat (or reducing heat)

Protective Styling/Low Manipulation

If you relax, Stretching or Texing should help.

co-signing and bagging my ends daily have helped. I am slowly increasing my water intake daily and taking my supplements(morning and night). This morning was my first time running and I can see how runners/sprinters have such great bodies(it kicked my butt).

14 gms of Knox gelatin per day, mixed in juice or water. Do NOT sleep on this. You won't regret it.

Thanks for reminding me about this again BBB. I can't wait to come to the US to buy a whole lot of them at one time:grin:.

Stretching my texlaxer much longer (finally) is helping to thicken my hair a little along with henna, ayurveda, my essential oils infused MN & OCT, massaging my scalp and low manipulation via protective styling:yep:.

Poly 80 and nettle rinses

Hopefully I will have some money coming in by the end of this month so I can order my herbs for my herbal rinses. I will try to purchase in large bulk so I don't have to keep ordering too frequently. I do need some more ayurveda products too.

Staying away from direct heat works, also for those that like color, the rinses are really helpful albeit only temporary. I use Color Showers and it makes my thin hair feel thick. It wears off kinda quick though cause I stay cowashing.

I absolutely love spraying my hair with Aussie Hair Insurance because it has 2 known hair thickeners in it... Polysorbate 80 and castor oil. I also seal with castor/coconut or castor/olive oil. My hair has thickened up a lot since I first started off. Also don't forget your internal health. I take a hair/skin multi, MSM and Biotin.

I have used the JBCO for months but I had better results with the stinky Palma Cristi Haitian castor oil, that smells like bacon, stinks but works.
I use conditioners that contain Polysorbate 80 or I add to my conditioners.
Biotin,B5,stretching relaxers and not relaxing bone straight has help tremendously.

No heat No heat! I can't stress that enough. I don't stretch nor do I use growth aids and have a very simple regi and I color. Heat imo is the biggest problem.

the weird thing for me is since i have not been using heat it feels like my hair has gotten thinner... :(... maybe its jus stress i donno i am freaking myself out tho ... i want thick hair

i think my main problem is shedding so maybe i need to try some garlic pills

I want thicker hair.
I dont use heat as is, and I relax every 4 months.
I add castor oil to my cons....
I gotta do something better.
Ppl think my hair thicker than it is (by looks) but it aint....

:lachen::lachen::lachen:Yes! It's stinky, but it works! I need to hit my grandmother up for some! I've recently run out.

You can purchase Knox Gelatin at your local grocery store. It's in the gelatin aisle. I purchase at Kroger, i get the store brand which has 32 one serving packets in each box. Each packet contains 7 gms of gelatin. I try to get two in per day. $7 for the box.

Hmmmmm. Where can I purchase this?

L-Cysteine 2000mg per day is also great for thickening and growing hair. It is my staple.
