My Trip Today to Ana's Dominican Salon (Added pics)
I decided to get my hair straightened today. This is my first time since being all natural. Hopefully, I won't get heat damage as a result of this. I'm trying out a different dominican salon. It's Ana's Salon at 3001 Fondren in Houston.
I think it's so interesting to see the women here. I think I may have seen Niko's cousin. She just pulled out a denman to wrap her hair after her blowout. There's this other lady that came in with very thin relaxed hair and requested a relaxer! I can't believe it. Her hair is about APL, but too thin from overprocessing. There's also a lady here with about BSL hair, and I saw her pull out WEN product. This other black lady just came in with long APL hair. Looks like she had one too many blowouts. lol There's a little girl in here with natural 4a hair. I want to see how her hair turns out since it's so similiar to mine.
I'm through with the dryer now, and waiting for my turn with Ana and the roundbrush. Ill be sure to share pics when I get home.

By the time I got home, my hair was way too big. I decided to flat iron with my chi. I used Sabino before I did though. After I flat ironed, I added two tracks of clip in extensions that I made. For the clip-ins, I sewed two wefts of old Extensions-Plus hair together, and then sewed the wig clips to it. I added the clip-ins for extra length, and I wanted a more blunt look without all the layers I have on the sides. As you can see, the freakin' weave still wasn't as long as BSL. Oh well...it still came out ok. I was able to wear it straight for a week.
Before salon

After blowout

YIKES!

Started to Flatiron

All done

Added clip-ins and curled

I combed out the curls a little after this so it would blend better

NO FLASH

More in my fotki of course
After I wrapped it overnight

Trying different styles since it was getting frizzy

Took out clip-ins - straight hair lasted a week
