I know I can always count on you for some good styles to try. My hair is a bit too big this week also, so I need to tame it. I like the pic with it pinned back - that's cute, I think I'll do that tomorrow, thanks!

Oh question - when you went home and used your Chi, you put more SMB on while your hair was dry? How did it feel afterwards? I thought about doing this but I never tried it while it was dry.

Yep. I applied the SMB to my dry hair. It was so sleek and shiny looking when I was through. I used about a quarter size, and then added more to my ends. The first time I used SMB it made my hair too heavy, greasy, so I made sure to not do that this time.

FINALLY WE GET SOME PIX!!
HMPH

You did a kickass job girl!!! Your hair looks beautiful.
last pic what did u do?

I attempted a blow out and my hair was so poofy afterwards I might as well had flat ironed in the first place...SMH.

Yep.. I think I'll stick to flatironing from now on. There's a time and place for big poofy hair. When I want sleek hair, that big look is not cutting it.:nono:

Call me crazy, but I like the big hair. It reminds me of my own 4F (fluffy) hair. :yep: Looks beautiful though.

Keep those beautiful pics coming Ediese! Your hair is so wonderfully pretty......lol. I love it natural and it's gorgeous straight too.

Will you be putting that "fly" curly weave back in? That protective style was lovely......

Beautiful results as usual. Was it humid outside that day?
Your clip in looks good. It blends really well. I could not tell the difference.

Im late but ur hair turned out great after you got home. what I learned from dominican salons is that the roundbrush and the blowfryer is completely unnecessary at least for my hair. I mean it has to be blown out a little to initially straighten it but all the unnecessary heat combined and manipulation with the roundbrush is pointless. The flat iron takes care of the rest,.

Thanks girl! Oh heck yea! I placed an order for my new weave last week. I bought 4 oz of 20" kinky curly from Allaboutmyhair.com (AAMH), and 1 piece of 20" from Realhairexclusive.com(RHO). I'm just waiting until it arrives so I can get it installed. That's going to be my summer look. I'm kinda getting tired of dealing with my hair.:ohwell:

Thank you! Houston is FOREVER humid. I guess it defeated the purpose of me getting it straightened. lol I remember my last blowout in January. I unwrapped my hair in the car on my way to dinner. As soon as I hit outside, my hair turned into a HUGE MONSTER! :lachen:

Very pretty, as always! I love your hair, Ediese. It's great to hear reviews from Dominican salons in Houston, too. I love the ones here in the DMV. I may try Ana's when I get home to da H

your eyebrows rock!!

I liked it much better once you flat ironed it. It was purty!

Thank you! I've been trying to keep my eyebrows thick, so I try to clean it up myself. I went to get it threaded last week, and told the lady to not take too much out, and she messed it up. One side is thicker than the next. :wallbash: NOw, I'm trying to fill it with eyeshadow until it grows back.

You're absolutely right. I wish I had known that they don't even have flatirons in that place. It was the craziest thing. My thighs were SWEATING when I got up from her chair. I couldnt' stop cringing when that heat stung my scalp. I told my sister that my scalp was crying. :ohwell: You should have seen me trying to be a big girl, so no one else saw the pain I was going through. :lachen: It's kinda funny because there were two little girls (11 y/o and probably 15 y/o) that went before me. They looked like the scalding heat didn't affect them at all.

Ediesse, can you pm the info where you'll get your hair done? Thanks! I'm thinking of going this exact route...sew-in or bkt...Houston Humidity is the devil!

Hey girl! I'm thinking of using a new person, so hopefully she's good. I got her contact information from this youtube video that I was watching. She's on the northwest side of Houston. Her name is Nikki, and she works in Salons in the Park. 7135901212. I'm putting this info here just in case someone else wants her contact info.

Check out the video. She did the girl in the video's hair. I'm not sure how much it costs. Hopefully, it's less than $200. I would go to the lady that hooks me up for $80, but I don't want her to cut my wefts since it's so expensive. There is a way that it can be installed by folding the wefts. That's suppose to help the hair last, and minimizes shedding.

Thanks! I made the clipi-ns myself. I used some scrap hair that I had. I placed one weft on top of the other, and sewed it together. I did that so it would be fuller. Then, I sewed about three wig clips to the weft. I got the clips from Salleys for about $3. If you don't want to make your own, I think I saw some for sale at Salleys.
