I am trying to track down some Nutrine Garlic Shampoo, my hair is shedding like crazy. I can't remember the last time I had a protein treatment, maybe I'll do one first and see what happens. I need to quit neglecting my hair.

trying dr bronners almond castille soap mixture and their shikakai rinse for the first time and doin a braidout

It's been a rough two weeks, but I got my thesis draft done...and I need to give the hair some much needed attention...

I'm tired and it works for me....overnighting with Wen and Vatika oil...
will wash in the a.m. and do a henna gloss....

follow up with a deep conditioning mix..may break out the old heating cap..

My hair is feeling kind of dry and I was going through what's left of my stash of products when I saw my bottle of Wild Growth Hair Oil.
I used to like it even if it did smell mediciney. I'm massaging my scalp and working it throughout my hair and I think I remember why I liked it. My hair is very shiny, but not oily. Makes a nice pre-poo.
I used to love me some WGO, the texture is so niiiiice

I just did a prepoo with Doo Gro Oil for 30 minutes, washed twice with CON green, and a third time with Mizani Botaniphy. I then did Joice DPR for a little over 5 mins (I washed my body during this time) and followed up with Mizani Moisturfuse for 30 mins. Came out lovely. No breakage and very shiny.

I will be in a french braid for the rest of the weekend.

Girl, you don't be messin around!!!! :lachen:

I still wanna try that WEN....

The Consistency is very therapeutic. And you're right, the smell is quite Medicinal.

They even have a "Lite" Formula. Have you tried that one? I saw it but reached for Old Faithful. Thick-n-brown.
:lachen:
I've thought about trying the light formula, but I just couldn't get myself to buy it. I really like the OG formula. It used to make my hair so soft and nice looking

I'm thinking about takin my weave out this weekend. I just want to be able to get to my own hair for awhile. I have some new EP wavy hair that ive been trying to pick up, so maybe getting weaved back up not sure yet.

I'm going to shampoo, dc and roller set. What is co washing? I'm new to the forum.
Co washing is washing your hair with conditioner only, no shampoo.
You just get in the shower, wet your hair, pour some conditioner on your head, massage it in, finish with your shower, rinse out the conditioner and BAM! You just co washed!

:lachen: at that random poll

will be washing with yes to carrots(+tea tree oil) shampoo aphogee 2min and yes to carrots mask

then i will be damp flatironning for the first time ever! :yay:

doing a protein treatment in prep for my FIRST WEAVE! so exciting!
i'm going to pick out my hair today.

I dc'ed on dry hair then co/washed and airdried. Today I'm flat-ironing it cause I'm going out. The big thing for me this weekend is that I'm considering transitioning :look:

Pretty soon i'm gonna shampoo and dc mine. I'll follow by blowdrying it and wear it down like that with a headband.

I'm 9 weeks post and am tempted to do a Profectiv self-relaxer. I don't go too much further than this as far as stretching is concerned. However, I have chemo on Tuesday and I'm trying to prevent or post pone my hair falling out. I'm wondering if using a relaxer prior to treatment would cause trouble.

I used a Profectiv relaxer before and reeeaaally liked it! I don't know about relaxing before chemo..... I guess since your bod's going to get pumped full of chemicals, it wouldn't do any extra harm to put some on your head ;)

I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you get better soon!

i just cowashed my hair with Curls Sublime conditioner mixed with a little v05.

its in a wet pony right now with some ecostyler gel to hold the wave. I'm gonna run and do some errands. gosh i love being able to do wash n gos now

Just did a 3 hour DC with some Redken Real Control and some Lustrasilk CHolesterol Plus and am going to rollerset and bun hair. MY hair was in desperate need of DC, so I hope it turns out nice :)

I'm going to clarify, hennagloss, and deep condtion of course. After that I might attempt a rollerset or bantu knotout. I don't know yet. Things are getting a little crazy. :spinning: Apparently the hair and I have our own different plans.:lachen:

Bonjour Mes Dames!

I will be doing a conditioner wash followed with with a mixture of Gro Aut Oil and Cocasta Shikakai Oil and Vatika Frosting! Will cover with a heat cap and a towel and leave on all day, then rinse out. Follow-up with OCT and MegaTek and will leave on till after dinner, then rinse out, apply a deep conditioner for 45 mins, rinse out and towel dry hair and put up for the night!!!

I am about to start my Saturday hair ritual:

Hot Oil Treatment on Dry Hair
Wash
Light Protein Treatment (Motions CPR)
Deep Condition with Steam (turbie twist method)
Rollerset
Dry under Hooded Dryer (indirect heat)
