BrEE just ordered the Paul Mitchell Ion Pro Express and she said she was going to try it on her whole head yesterday. So girl, give it up! How'd it go? Have any pics??

Her handle is BrEE, I don't know what her real name is but according to her profile she lives in Florida and is originally from Haiti.

LOL, if it were not for my insomnia I would have never noticed this thread. OK, SOOO I know I told Christelyn I would post a review after trying the flatiron, but I know how gangsta you ladies are and how you would DEMAND pics, which is why I havent posted a review yet..plus i've been on lurk mode for quite some time now....but back to the flat iron

I am in LOVEEEEEE, keep in mind I already owned a fhi runway and hai twig, and really didnt care for both. After, all the hype(and money spent) on the runway I was pretty disappointed. That thing snagged like you would not believe. I'm transitioning(currently 6 months post) and the amount of time and energy it took using teeny tiny sections, slathering serum on and being extra careful to not snag/rip my hair out using the fhi and hai took wayyyy too much effort. I'm sorry, but im pretty lazy.
SOOOO, after reading Christelyn's original thread I decided to give the paul mitchell a chance, considering I could still return it if it didn't work. Initially, I only used it on a couple of sections and it just glidedddddddddddddddd through my hair while straightening. best of all i was able to clamp down on it for tension to get my new growth straight without worrying about breakage. With the fhi and hai i couldnt do this, or my hair would get caught in between the two plates. Now, some of you may think I didnt know what I was doing since the fhi runway is suppose to be so dang great, but i promise you, i tried soooo many different ways to use that thing, I really wanted to loveeeeeeeeeee it after all the cash spent , but alas it wasn't happening. I also read other posts of runway owners complaining of the same problem, so it wasnt just me. So as of now I'm going to sell both the runway and hai on ebay and use that money to fund my steamer. I plan on being a LONGTERM transitioner and need to make the process as painless as possible. so far so good. THANKS Christelyn

Thank you for the review, BrEE! I am planning on buying the Paul Mitchell Ion Pro soon, but I hadn't read too many reviews on it. This will be the very first flat iron I've ever owned, and I want it to be a good one!

Where did you buy yours?

BrEE! Glad you found the thread! I glad the Paul Mitchell is working for you too. I can't believe how it just glides through--even with my natural hair I only have to run it through one time, as opposed to 5,6,7,8,9,10 times with my other iron, which I thought was sooo good at the time. Now I use less heat and get salon quality results. It's the best and so worth the money.

I have this flat iron and I really like it... bumping to see if she likes it. I also LOVE the Paul Mitchell hair dryer, here is my review http://www.beautyblvd.net/2008/12/paul-mitchell-express-ion-style.html

Hi there,

Do you mind me asking if the blow dryer comes with a comb attachment? I have been searching high and low for a good quality blow dryer with a comb attachment to extend my relaxer stretches and love your review. I have the flat iron on my list as well as the lavender mint s/c you mentioned in your review.

tia,
tishee

I don't think it comes with a comb--those are sometimes hard to find because most stylists use blow dry brushes.
