You know how you see a a cute hair bow in the store and you check the price and it says 8.00 for two little hair clips? Well that happened to me Tuesday and I said I can make that myself. My buns are gonna be cute. So here are the 1st two that I've madw. They are kinda simple, but I gotta start somewhere, what do you guys think?

These are really cute. When I get some more hair I may try something like this for fun. Do you get the flowers and jewels from hobby stores? Are you using a glue gun?

Do tell. These pieces are really cute.

Those are really cute where did you get your supplies.

Cute. I really want one of those headbands with the feathers on the side. I think it would be so cute with a wash n' go.

Maybe I'll try to make it since I can't find any in the stores.

These were spur of the moment. I bought the plastic combs (92), glass beads (3.00 I have a lot left), and a glue gun 3. Nothing was over 3 dollars. I got it all at walmart. The glur gun is hard to work with especial if you mees up. I'm going to look for another type of glue. I plane to try to duplicate some of the barretts from http://www.longhairgirl.com .

I seen cute feathers at Hobby Lobby today. I went to purchase some new stuff for new barretts. I'll have to make my own headbands because I have a super sized head.

I have done this. Buy Flowers from dollar tree, and combs from Walmart..... Hot Glue - and you are alllll SET!

I saw these yesterday at the Urban Outfitters in NYC. They weer $28 but didnt look like they were made with real feathers. I was thinking I could make them myself!

Yeah, the ones I saw online were asking $30 to $50:nono:.

Wonder if Michael's has feathers? I'd love to make a peacock one. It shouldn't be too hard to find peacock feathers. I'm definitely gonna try it.

Thanks for the inspiration leona!

In 3rd grade I sold colored bobby pins for 25 cents.

I would color the black bobby pins with cheap sparkle nail polish. :lachen:
