:lachen: i knew this was coming.
i got my touchup almost 2 weeks ago. had it cut about 3-4 few inches. i didn't take any pics because its all curly from the rollerset, so i have no clue how long it looks or where the length is yet. im waiting until i wash it and blow dry to take pics.
Whenever i get a touchup, i usually wait about 3 weeks before i manipulate my hair because thats when its most fragile to me.sooo
i will be taking all my pics this weekend and doing a video as well.thanks ladies for your 'patience':lachen:

* insert going from impatiently waiting to getting an attitude smiley here *

How dare she! Like it's her hair or something.. uugghh... that's why I can't stand... the nerve of some people... and no she DIDN'T laugh...like this is some kind of game...see uh-uh :nono:

i've also realized that im not obsessed with length like i use to be. my hair is the longest its ever been in my entire life. i don't even care if it ever grows any longer. im sooooooo satisfied.
its the feeling i had when i finally reached full shoulder-length after the pixie cut. it was so difficult and nightmarish growing it out that i wouldn't of cared if i stayed SL the rest of my life..i had finally made it..lol.

yes! i went to a dominican salon down here in DC. I didn't get a blow out though. She was very good. i went to her once before yeears ago.

Where in D.C. did you go, Sylver? I'm looking for a good Dominican stylist. How about Judith in Adam's Morgan?

I could only stretch for 5 months. My hair was breaking too much. It's amazing how you were able to keep that from happening. I think my hair is way too fine.

Can't wait to see your updates. :yep:

:giggle: What did she say when you told her you stretched for a year?

And, did she tell you she'd have to charge you $200 for the relaxer because 52 weeks was like virgin hair? :lachen:  :lachen:

:lachen: i lied though and said i only stertch for about 6 months..she looked at my hair like yeh right wtf!! i didn't want to get charged nonsense:lachen:. I paid $85 which included cut, DC.

giiirl..it ain't my birthday its your Birthday:kiss: thank u girl that made my night. now hurry and finish up that thesis

Yes I went to Judiths!! She was great:)

Sylver thanks for sharing your stretching experiences. It's so inspirational. You and your hair are beautiful!!!

Yep... I had said I was going to do two five month stretches, but I think I am going to try to stretch until December 12th. That would put me at 10.5 months post. I actually think that if I can make it through the weeks 11-17 crucial period (this is when I start getting scared I am going to lose my hair and relax) I think I could stretch longer.

I saw the cut and the fresh relaxer and it was beautiful. the sheen was amazing and it looked silky soft. Still very long by lhcf standards :yep:

but i'm looking forward to the new vid too :giggle:

The longest (and only) time I stretched was by accident for 24 weeks, and I did it with braids, so it really wasn't too difficult since I didn't have to deal with my hair. I could have never done an entire year with it out the way you did, Sylver...and anyway, I have since BC and went back into braids a couple of days ago.

I can't wait to see your hair!!! Congratulations on your success, and I look forward to seeing your pics and new video!!!

Blessings,
Christi
