Hello all, i am new to this thread. I wanted to know.. what it the best conditioner for cowashing?? I have never coswashed before, i am starting my first stretch ever today (16 weeks), i need all the tips i can get!! Thanks!

I would say Suave is good for conditioning wash, tresemme, dove moisturizing conditoner.

I am a newbie who is also stretching for the first time. I've done some searches here and based on what I've read I've made a few purchases. I bought 100% aloe vera juice and dispenser to moisturize my new growth. From what I've read its pretty good. I also invested in some Vatika by HairVeda, coconut oil and jojoba oil. The general tip that everyone gave on most of the threads I read for stretching was to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.....

Can some elaborate on the benefits of oil co-washes as well???

oil washes help to add slip to your hair
to aid in ease of detangling

i'm sure there's more to it that others can add!

Thanks Mrs R... how long are u stretching for?

Aussie Moist is the only one I've used so far for cowashing, but it's pretty awesome! :yep: I've also purchased TRESemme Remoisturize because I read some ladies' raves on it, but I've yet to try it. The ingredients look pretty yummy tho.

-Aussie Moist
-Suave Humectant
-Suave Ocean Breeze
-V05 Moisture Milks Strawberries & Cream
-Tresemme Smooth & Silky
-Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship (LTR)
-Herbal Essences Totally Twisted
-Herbal Essences None Of Your Frizzness
-White Rain Tropical Coconut (WRTC)
-Mane N Tail

Off the top of my head

I like VO5 MoistureMilks. It really helps to tame that NG along with Mizani Thermasmooth conditioner. Of all the conditioners I have these two are my winners. I buy over and over and over again.

I'm trying to make it through Spring and Summer. I started out saying only 12 weeks, but now that I'm almost there, I'm feeling like 18-24 weeks. We'll see how I feel about the state of my hair at 18 weeks, if I'm still ok then I'm going keep pushing through August.

How long are you going???

-Aussie Moist - I buy this in the big pump bottle
-Suave Humectant-again, I purchase the large bottles. The new formula isn't too bad either, which is rare!
-Suave Ocean Breeze
-V05 Moisture Milks Strawberries & Cream
-Tresemme Smooth & Silky-Staple!
-Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship (LTR)
-Herbal Essences Totally Twisted
-Herbal Essences None Of Your Frizzness
-White Rain Tropical Coconut (WRTC)-Only the original. It's thicker and has better ingredients than the newer fancy bottles.
-Mane N Tail

Off the top of my head
I also use and love:

Giovanni Smooth As Silk Conditioner
V05 Champagne Kiss
V05 Sun Ripened Raspberry
Hairveda Moist 24/7
Hairveda Moist ConditionPro
Pantene Nature Fusion Smooth Vitality
HE Hello Hydration-haven't used in a while though
V05 Pomegranate
GVP Conditioning Balm

That's all I can think of right now...

Giovanni tea tree hands down... or even Elucence if you can afford it.
I can really tell the difference between using conditioners with cones in them and drug store conditioners compared to using conditioners with no cones. My hair just has a different feel to it. You can also get a liter size of Giovanni tea tree for $12.99 at massagewarehouse.com :yep:

Cosigning I love AUSSIE. Ladies do not sleep on this condish :yep:

v05 Moisturizing
Suave Biolage generic--my hair loves this stuff
Pantene long and strong (new)---similar to the Suave Biolage but a little different---both have lots of slip.

I love the VO5's and Suaves.

VO5 Strawberries and Cream, Peach Mango Smoothie, Champagne Kiss, etc.
Suave Tropical Coconut, Juicy Green Apple, Fresh Mountain Strawberries, etc.

Good Luck!
