Hello Ladies,

I just have a quick simple question that I hope you don't mind answering...
I was wondering, for those of you who cowash/shampoo twice a week, do you go through the entire process of completely styling your hair or do you just air dry and bun?

Wow, that seems like so much work, especially with hair as long as yours. I guess I'm just lazy. :perplexed Your hair is beautiful by the way.

It takes a couple of hours twice a week which may seem rather time consuming, but, if you think of it as the best method to care for your hair and a little bit of me time, it's a win-win situation.

I always usually airdry. I DC once a week. Occasionally I will flat iron (in the past eight weeks I flat ironed once). Sometimes I will co wash and do more than 2 washes a week if you include those. It just depends. Buns are my best friend now. :yep:

For the ladies who cowash and then bun, do you find that you retain more length and do you leave bangs out to add a little more style to your bun?

I'm not sure if your question applies to me. I'm in twists all the time and wash in them. So styling involves just putting the twists up in whatever do I feel like wearing them in. There's no combing or detangling involved so it doesn't take but a few minutes to style.

Naw man, I trow it up in a bun. Like my avatar and siggy.
I am waiting till BSL to start styling..too lazy.
And then I will not co-was every day either.

I've been thinking about cutting soft bangs when I finally do relax, so that when I wear my buns, it'll give me a little more style and versatility.

I've been bunning for 2 months now. I wash at least twice a week and then just put it back in the bun. I love it because its *so* easy and convenient. And my hair loves it, too!

Sometimes when I bun, I will add a clip in bang

I wash twice a week and everytime I go through the whole process. Yes it's time consuming but I don't care. One wash I airdry and flat iron. Second wash I rollerset. I am a once a week direct heat user. I never bun or protective style. I love the way my hair looks after a wash too much to put it away. My hair has done extremely well from this process. If your hair doesn't do well with heat I wouldn't suggest it.

You know I was cowashing like crazy last summer, almost every day and bunning or doing WnG's. Now that my hair is longer, a WHOLE lot more natural hair to deal with, and it's still cold right now, I co/wash my hair twice a week and either put it in twists or 4 plaits until it's dry. I have become beyond lazy so taking a couple hrs to do my hair is just not gonna happen. I think once it gets warm, I'll stick to 2, maybe 3 x's per week.

Yeap:yep: Go through the whole process of rollersetting and drying. I'm almost 16 wks post now and I decided a couple weeks ago when I get this far along in my stretch to do once a week to cut down on manipulation.

I co-wash on Wednesdays and usually pull my hair back into a bun and airdry overnight. In the morning, I always bring some of my hair out for a "swoop". On Saturdays, I always rollerset after I shampoo and DC.

Air dry and bun all the time. None of this would be getting done if I had to straighten and style my hair every time afterwards :nono:

I co-wash about twice a week and I bun & airdry everytime.
I only flat iron once every 12 wks or so. Sometimes I'll wear a phony pony or a puff but mostly buns. My hair has retained a lot of length this way, but I also do it b/c I'm too lazy to go through the whole shebang everytime.

I still have to learn how to per-fect a wash n go so it doesn't look frizzy so I don't wear those:sad:

When I wash my hair twice a week I just let my hair airdry in a side puff. Simple and easy and no extra work for me. Sometimes I wear it down about once or twice a month. I am really lazy.

Wash, DC with heat, rinse, put moisturizers, section into 4 or 6 fat braids, tie w/silk scarf, got to bed. In the morning, spritz with wet moisturizer, seal with oils/butters, put in bun.

I go thru the whole process and airdry if I'm pressed for time I go under a dome dryer (cool air)...just to speed up the time..either braid out on wet hair bantu knots on wet hair etc...etc...
