I live in university city.. but i'll go anywhere to get a good stylist whose healthy long hair lhcf-minded... and won't pressure me to trim or cut my hair all the time.

thanks.

I'm a Philly lady, I know an AMAZING stylist, but she is the most scissor-happy pusher I've ever met in my life. She also doesn't like putting people under the dryer.

There are plenty of Philly ladies on here, but if they're anything like me, they're DIY'ers. Sorry.

that's the prob.. that scissor happiness - cant deal with that. everytime you find someone half way decent.. the first words out of their mouth is you need a trim. ugh..

you MUST go to Honeydew Beauty Lounge on 2116 Walnut Street 215-963-0499. Ask for Luz...She is definitely not scissor happy & she understands 'just trim a little'. She will have your hair bouncin' & blingin' like a Pantene commercial. Her primary concern is healthy hair. I have recommended all of my girlfriends & they have not gone anywhere else since. Also, all of her clients have long hair or are on their way to it. She has also helped a lot of her clients transition to natural thru presses. Hope this helps!

How are the prices?

This is the website:

I've never been myself, but I think I read in some other posts(maybe in the salon review forum) that the salon is pretty nice and they do a good job. It might be a little too pricey for me... but might be worth checking out for some others.

I know a stylist who is excellent! She does natural and relaxed and specializes in healthy hair care. She is the least scissor happy, does not believe that ALL spilt ends need to be cut off and will have you in and out.

PM me if you want the number.
