Ayureda does darken your hair!:yep:

I just finished having a conversation with one of my coworkers who has been out on disablity since October 2008. She just returned back today.

We said our 'hellos' and then she said to me: "You darkened your hair I see and it is so long"..."what color did you use on your hair?"

I told her that I have not colored my hair at all. She had a look of surprise on her face and then said "well, it is so dark since the last time I saw you." I just shrugged my shoulders and said "well, do you like it?" and she said "Oh yes...it looks beautiful. It's dark and shiny and long...I don't remember seeing your hair this way ever."

So ladies, if you want your hair to darken naturally....do Ayureda...it works beautifully!

Just thought I would share this with ya!

Blessings!!!

What's your Ayureda regime?
Pre-shampoo with either Vatika Oil or Amla Gold the night before washing. Shikkakki powder mixed with Amla Gold oil and Hairveda Moisture 24/7. Leave on hair 7 minutes and rinse, followed by shampoo bar.

DC with Hairveda Strinillah(sp) for 1 hour under dryer, rinse.

Once per month use Cassia Obovata (love this:yep:).

Massage my scalp nightly with Vatika Oil. Daily use Dabur Jasmine Oil on my ends.

I'm loving the side-eye action in your siggy...too cute! And my coworker is Indian and he says the Amla oil alone will darken hair over time. I used to use it to prepoo but I don't like the scent. Amla produces darker, richer looking hair!

He is so adorable:grin:..thanks.

I use the Amla Gold which smells sooooooooo much better than the regular Amla Oil. I don't like the original smell either, but will use it up because it does work nicely as a pre-poo.

Girl, if she didn't say anything..I wouldn't have noticed. I did however notice that I haven't seen my 3 gray hairs anymore:lachen:...was wondering what happened to them.

I heard that amla darkens hair and prevents the graying of hair. That is why i was so determine to use that oil...it never worked...now I plan to fully use Hairveda and afroveda products.

I definitey an Ayurveda stan probably for life. I've never been so pleased with a beauty regimen before and it's natural. I love my Shikakai, Amla, and Brahmi tea rinses along with Vatika oil and Henna. My hair has never been so soft and shiny and moist!

It really does my gray hairs that I have, have been growing in my natural color again.
Wow...now, I like that:grin:

I did too, but I never paid attention until my coworker said something....this is great!

ITA. My hair has never been this beautiful before. It's soft, moist and never dry....it's amazing!

For those of you who have been on Ayurveda regimen , I wanted to know:

* Does it loosen up the curl pattern in the hair?
* Do you have more bounce, swing and movement in the hair?
*Do you still feel the need to use a relaxer? or is it something you do less and less?

I have to admit I did use a shampoo and a conditioner... Sunsilk with double Amla and henna ...my hair was super super black after using it. Plus my hair was super shiny. However, at the time I had my hair relaxed with Phyto II and it was a disaster. My hair became super dry and had a weird texture...it wasen't soft but more like plasticky.

Now I'm on mizani ( last relaxer was nov1/08) so I think it would be safe for me to do baby steps and use products by hairveda and afroveda.

You had me at gray....

OK I'm gonna stop playing around and use my Ayurveda products more often now. I hate these damn grays. :spinning:

OK, I'm getting in on this! I have so much gray hair, it shows when I flat twist! Thanks again, ladies!

When I first started jumping on the ayurvedic bandwagon, I only used henna, which I loved, and then I started stalking this board and learning about other ayurvedic products. Henna + Alma gave my hair a dark cherry type look, which I love. I love all the benefits that come with using them. I'm an ayurvedic fan for life.

It's a beautiful thing, isn't it?

I'm also a fan for life. I can't see myself without it.:yep:
