Anybody still using Caruso rollers?

I bought one then went natural so I never actually used it. Can it be used on natural hair? if so what are the results?

I still use mine when I need to fix some flat areas and a few curls. I'm transitioning now, but when I was just trying to keep heat out of my relaxed hair, I would use them all over, at night, wrap my hair loosely and go to bed. In the morning, I would get a "just flat ironed" look.

I still pop a few in to avoid direct heat in between salon visits (every 2 weeks). I plan to try the same methods when natural... not sure if or how it will work but I'm holding on to my Caruso's for life. I even ordered more rollers on ebay when my old ones starting tearing up. That's how much I used them.

I still use mine I also bought extra rollers from Sallys a while back. I plan to do a set next week and still keep it bunned. I'm doing it to get my hair a little straight.

I'd forgotten all about mine and then I had an interview a few weeks back and didn't have time to rollerset so i popped in a few of them and was good to go!

Thanks for the responses ladies. I'm looking into avoiding too much heat, as well, which is why I asked.

Thanks for the vid.

i just bought a set a couple of weeks ago...anxious to try them :)

I bought a set two weeks ago. I haven't used it yet but will post some pics when I do.

Thanks ladies. Please remember to update us once you've tried them.

I bought them when everyone was raving about them. but i don't like how my hair looks with them...I rather just rollerset and if i need to re-curl my hair, i use the satin covered rollers...but the caruso rollers seem to make my hair revert and not look as smooth and silky...

I still use them from time to time but now that my hair is longer the curl doesn't really hold as welll... well it only seems to curl on the lower 1/3 of my hair... Maybe when I get some layers cut in, I'll use them more often. Stilll a great product. If you can stand to sleep in them they give a beautiful set on hair that's a little old (read: dirty)

Me. I love my Caruso. It took me awhile to really get a technique for using it that works for my hair.

I use it when I really need my hairstlye to last all day, like for special events, or when my day starts early and I have functions later.

Yep, I still use them when I get adventurous (not running late somewhere) and want curls. I still  my Carusos.

Thanks for the responses ladies.

Are you using them only freshly washed, air or blow dried hair, or are you using them on old roller set hair?

I love them...I just bought my 3rd unit, as I use them so much they seem to burn out on me! When I don't have them I find myself having to use my flat iron to keep curls in my hair..so they have a way of helping me to retain healthy ends...

Yep, love them & still using them. Especially when I'm stretching my relaxer for 8 weeks or more. Helps me maintain hair healthiness and style without using direct heat.

I never use mine and every time I see a thread about them I say I am gonna start, LOL. All I went through to find them you would think I would use them faithfully.

I loved my caruso but it died on me. :ohwell: This thread is making me want to get another one. Now I moisturize and roll my hair in big sections on 3-4 purple flexis and get the same results so I don't know if I should get another caruso set...

Anyway, I stumbled across this youtube vid about carusos that's good:

Ladies if you can, try to find one of the older purple, blue, burgundy, or white units (Ebay, Amazon). They last so much longer then the cheaply made red and white ones they sell now. I notice the new ones don't have warranties like they used to. They knew what they were doing. Helen of Troy took over the line and since that time they have been so badly made.

I have one of the older ones, a purple one, and it has lasted me 4 years. The red and white ones are done after 6 months, sometimes sooner.

It is a shame.

So much better than the one they are selling right now.
