I've read all possible threads and after a quick consensus and extra research, i've chosen the above.

I can't decide between them so please decide for me :grin::grin:
I'm going with whichever one wins the poll!

TIA Ladies!

I like the following:

For moisture: Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat
For protein: Aubreys GPB

ETA: Nevermind my response, the poll wasn't up yet lol

Divine Empress your hair is gorgeous!!! I didn't vote on the poll because I have never tried any of those conditioners. But if you have a lot of shedding, go with the Alter Ego. Quick question, what is Essentious ? Do you have a pic of it?

thanks girl! sure I can post some pics of it...you can check out the link leona2025 posted also. It's okay but it disappointed me a little. i don't think Essentious worked wonders on my hair.
I've been co-washing with the conditioner but the shampoo is :nono:

i chose banana brulee. its amazing esp. if you want to leave it in overnight. it makes my hair sooooooooooo soft.
the humecto used to be good for me but for some reason i no longer like it.
and sitrinilla did nothing for me.

i bought a sample of the banana brulee and can't wait to try it! i've never left a DC in overnight...i just might try that
Thanks!

I'm glad you posted this because I just found out that ORS has protein in it and with my MT I don't want to overload. I have a brand new bottle of this stuff and can't return it unless it's an even exchange. I really want a moisturizing DC that has NO protein in it please. I've never heard of any of the above.

Thanks for the link. About to check it out. Divine, what products where you using before Essentious?

a whole bunch of stuff :ohwell: : Pantene, QP, Sunsilk, Nexxus, Dove, Head&Shoulders, Herbal Essence

since Essentious is not working out i'll be on the hunt for a new poo/condish soon..i'm gonna need a poll for that too lol!

Divine, You should also try Avanti Silicon Mix, Its my #1 then comes lustrasilk, I LOVE IT, my hair feels soooo soft after and there is no need to detangle, I'm relaxed.

You don't look like you need any help with your hair. :lachen: It's absolutely gorgeous! You can give us some tips!:yep:

i LOVE LOVE LOVE elucence mb. thats my absolute favorite!!:yep:
^^^^^ i agree
if you are looking for a MOISTURIZING CON. I would go with the ELUCENCE i like the silicone mix but it is not an moisturizing as ELUCENCE mb
idk but i think silicone mix is a protein????

I have never used any of the products except keracare (in the bottle) and I hated it.. it did absolutely nothing for my hair. If I *had* to choose from the selection I'd probably recommend Banana Brulee because of the amazing reviews I got a while back. I tried to order but they don't ship to Canada so I was S.O.L.

I haven't used any of the products below, but I do use other products from the SheScentIt.Com line. The ladies here rave about the deep conditioner from that line, so it must be good.

I'm currently using Hairvedas Strilnillah. Its nice, okay, i guess. So I voted for that. I'm going to order some banana brulee though....I've been hearing some amazing things about it.

I use to use Keracare...loved it. I'm talking about the one in the tub and not the bottle. My hair always felt well conditioned and not coated. I'd recommend it.

Ingredients: Water, Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Glycerine, Citric Acid, Cetrimonium Chloride, Dimethycone Copolyol, Cyclomethicone, Keratin, Ceramide, Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance

I'm sure there's protein in there somwhere:ohwell:

thanks for the recommendations!

Nexxus Humectin is great,it provides great slip, moisture and makes your hair feel like butter.
I think it works so great because it contains coconut milk.
I also use Elucence and Silicon Mix.

I know this isn't a poll option, but I really love Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner as a moisturizing DC. But other than that the only one of your poll options that I've tried is the Lustrasilk Sheabutter and Mango, and I liked it.

I've recently bought the Joico Moisture Recovery Balm but it has some protein in it if I understand correctly. Can I therefore use the Joico after a mild protein treatment like the Aphogee 2 Minute etc? I don't want to overload my hair on protein.

Lord this can sometimes be confusing!

I just started using Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol and i like it. It gets my hair very soft.

I did a hard core protein treatment this weekend (Aphogee). So I had to come up with a deep conditioner that would soften my hair after the protein treatment but not weight it down.

I used a mixture of Phytokarite deep conditioning mask, Nexxus Ensure Replenishing conditioner, Nexxus Humectin, Paul Mitchells Detangler, Kimble's Ginger Cream Conditioner(smells soo yummy), and the Aphogee moisturizing conditioner that comes with the protein treatment.

You only need a dab of each cond., but use mostly the Phytokarite. Apply to hair with a plastic cap for at least 30min and your hair will come out silky and luxurious!! I also have 4b relaxed hair, and I am like 4 weeks post-relaxer. So my roots where a little thick.
