A hair informer/educatorr lol! not a licensed person or anything but just like a mentor.

I'm saying this because where I am currently temping the women in that department have some jacked up heads of hair. I know I have had friends and known people that would never wash or style their own hair because they think they'd mess it up or they just don't do their hair.

Anywho, there is a woman training me, she has the potential as all of us do to have nice healthy hair, she has splits, her hair is dyed and it looks dry and just unhealthy. I don't know her like that but I just feel tempted sometimes to offer some advice but I don't want to get cursed out lol!!!!!

Have you ladies offered your hair advice to anyone? if so have they taken your advice?

Am I the only one that always has my eyes on someones hair and thinking of treatments for them.

I have seen women on here grow their hair and transform their tresses to healthy pieces of work and it's amazing to me. But in the real world there are still so many that need our help :lachen:.

I've given a lot of solicited advice only. Some women take it, others don't, some start, then realise it's too much work and can't be bothered. I don't mind sharing info. I start with the very basics first because I've learnt most women can't handle all the info at once especially if they are looking for a magic pill.

yeah sometimes i just want to blurt out i can tell you how to get your hair healthy! lol! but then that might be offensive to folks.

I was in St. Louis this week and saw a lot of Black women (rare sighting for me). Anyway, I was eyeing them and giving them hair and weave makeovers. However, I wasn't planning to offer advice to strangers for several reasons: 1) can't teach those who don't want to learn; 2) I'm bunned up, so they can't tell that I just might know anything about how to make it grow; 3) they looked completely content looking like there had been cats fighting on their heads.

Shoot, I'm waiting for the day one of the LHCF ladies sees me and offers to school ME because of my simple bun :lachen:

I haven't been tempted to be a teacher but I've offered advice when asked.

I remember seeing a lady on the bus who had obviously worn her pressed hair in rollers/curlers but didn't bother to comb it (finger or comb) after taking them out so that the parts or her scalp weren't showing. I sincerely wanted to help her out but I didn't want to embarrass her or make her uneasy. I wished it had been somewhere else, like in a doctor's waiting room without anyone looking where I'd have used my sweetest voice and blamed the wind or sth for messing up her do and then fixed it for her. She looked like she really didn't know better and it killed me that she was going wherever she was going with her hair half done. :(

Otherwise, I usually mind my own business.

NOPE.

Most people don't want to hear anything you are telling them.

I have had two friends turn themselves in :jail:

And they did not listen either. So - Who cares.... you are on your own.......Except for LHCF sisters.
