Hi Laides,
For those of you that have have a successful regimen, how do you dry your hair. I airdry and my hair comes out so dry, please give me a better suggestion.

Thanks

I either airdry, or use indirect heat, except every 12 weeks at relaxer time. Airdrying works for me, but i find that in order for my hair to retain moisture I need to put it in one long single braid for my hair to hold all the goodies. Hope this helps.

I moisturize heavily with a leave-in, rub about a quarter size amount of oil in my hands and coat (seal) the ends. When it's semi dry, I'll braid it in two braids, cover it with a scarf and wear it wavy the next day.

I use alot of my leave-in, seal with coconut oil, and either do a braidout, bun, twistout or bantu knots. This combined with daily cowashes leaves my hair nice and soft. :]

I only airdry, but I make sure I use lots of creamy leave-ins, butters and oils so that it will dry soft.

i blot dry with towel....no rubbing

my hair will not be dripping....(porosity issues)

i section my hair......(4 to 6).....moisturise each section...(diluted/non diluted s-curl.....or water +glycerine + aloe vera gel) well....seal with ors oil moisturizing hair lotion.

method 1
i then "braid" each section with knitting wool soaked in ORS olive oil sheen spray (trying to get rid of it)

i then seal the ends with castor oil. i let it dry....will even sleep overnight with baggy

if i have to go out i will remove braids, finger comb and bun....i might add a few drops of coconut oil...

method 2

after moisturising each section and sealing i bun straight away.

method 3

after moiturising and sealing i allow to dry 90%....i then braid for a braid out. doing a braid out when wet makes my hair shrink....A LOT!!!!! i am texlaxed.

Right out of the shower I blot dry. I let it dry almost completely only b/c I will be combing and I lose more hairs when it's wet. I then moisturize my NG with Hairveda Whipped Cream and the rest of my hair with Shea Butter.

I air dry my hair since I'm coming up on 11 weeks post. I just air dry until about 80, then either braid it or roll it with about 6 flexirods and allow to air dry for the rest of the night.

I make sure my hair is soaking wet when I'm still standing in the shower and carefully use a towel and wrap in into a little turban. When I'm wrapping it, I make sure it's nice and snug around the perimeter of my head, with the rest of my hair falling into a loose pouch and then I'll bring the ends of the towel around the front and make a tight knot. (I hope that made sense:lachen: )

I just let it hang it there and wait for most of the water to blot out (4-6 minutes?) and unravel the towel. By then it should be kinda damp. Finally, I add my leave-in and seal with castor or coconut oil, wait for it to dry some more and either do a braid out or heat style.

Been doing this method for a while now...and it works great! It's by far the most gentle and leaves my hair sooo soft =]

Blow drying with either a pic attachment or a paddle brush. or rollerset when i'm not stretching my hair.

I have been blow drying for years and my hair grows at a steady pace,

air drying caused me to have 2 patches of short hair a piece at the crown and a piece on the side.

After washing i blot the excess water with a cotton-t. Part in 4 sections moisturize and seal each section and put the sections up in puffs and let it dry that way. The next day take the puffs out fluff and go.

I airdry. I put my moisturiser and oil on whilst my hair is still damp so it's quite moisturised after it dries.

I squeeze/blot dry with a t-shirt, then I separate my hair into big twists, moisturize and seal, then let it air dry for the rest of the day.

Occasionally I sit under the blow dryer, but I can only use the "cool" setting.

I airdry in a bun. Using a good amount of leave in and today I sealed with JCNSit worked great on my edges after I tied it down with a satin scarf

I used to dry under the hooded dryer but lately I've gone back to air drying in a bun with alot of conditioner and moisturizer on my ends.

I drip dry (drape a towel across my shoulders and just let the water drip) then when no more water is dripping I just go about my business letting my hair air dry. I don't use any products but I do baggy nightly.

I air dry 25%, oil my scalp, then sit under a bonnet dryer until my hair is 75% dry. Then moisturize my hair, then either wrap it and sleep on it or put it in a french twist and go out.

i usually roller set my hair. i like it b/c the rollers keep my ends protected and i can do other things while i dry my hair. my hair is soft and i have less breakage and shedding due to not manipulating my hair while drying.

if i am too tired, i will blow dry my hair on the cool setting and then braid or twist my hair in 4 sections.. i'll moisturize it and sleep with my hair like that overnight.

moisture is the key! i use a leave in conditioner and a heat protectant prior to getting under the dryer.

If doing a puff I add castor oil to soaking wet hair, wrap in a t-shirt turban style to get out excess water, and then airdry.

If setting a style I add coconut oil to detangle, then castor oil while twistsing/braiding. Then let airdry over night.

I haven't blowdried or flat ironed for a few years. I've never dried under a hooded dryer.
