Hi Ladies,

Its been toooooooooooo long since I have posted, what with christmas and starting a new ten hour a day job...

ANYWAY

mostly because I have been too busy I have managed to stretch for 13 weeks. Im washing twice a week (with mini deep condition) air drying in a pony tail with glycerin and olive oil to seal. MEga growth approx 2 inches which is hilarious as I have finally stopped trying, although I reckon I need a good trim.

I digress...basically, I am mega daunted by the regrowth but dont have the time (or money ) to go to a salon, plus they dont know my hair/will moan I've left it so long/ will get scissor happy!

So do I

1. just carry on as I am, looking after ng and save for appointment
2.carry on as I am and see what happens
3.just be brave and relax it , darn it
4.er...cant think of another....

plus as I wash it twice a week to keep it moisturised, when my kids do let me have 5 mins to myself , Im like- argh your meant to wait 48 hours after washing before relaxing,,,,

any ideas??

xx

I do not have any ideas but I was also stretching for 13 weeks last year then decidied not to relax again, ever. I now looooooooooove my natural hair so much! Good luck on your decision!

I'm going through the same thing. I have never experienced this much shine and softness as I have now. Kinda scared to relax again. I'm debating transitioning to natural or texlax.

Wow its only been 11 weeks for me but I do understand the temptation to just say forget scalp burn and the whole relaxer thing and the sighs of stylist who r usually like "What You Waited..Way Too Long..I'm gonna have to "Trim" u NOW". I'm going for relaxer next week even though I really feel I could go a little longer.

I'm more than half way through a 6 month stretch. I'm currently 15 weeks post and hope to get my hair relaxed by my stylist at the end of March.

I wouldn't even attempt to relax all my new growth myself.
I save money by not relaxing for so long, so I feel ok spending £65 to get my hair done at the hairdressers.
The last time I had my hair relaxed, I was almost 10 months post and my stylist did a good job dealing with my hair... I would have made a mess of it.

I can't tell you what to do, but I hope you come to a decision you're happy with.
If you really want to relax, and you can save, I would suggest getting your hair done by a trusted stylist.

Girl I feel you.....my last relaxer which was two months ago didn't take, and I just did a relaxer yesterday and I'm still underprocess so I will have to stretch for 4 months and try again.....I don't want to go to a stylist cuz I don't want her to cut my hair....so I need a better relaxer I guess......but anyways.....if you really think you need a trim I would save your money and make an appt.....I was actually 5 months going on 6 months post if I wouldn't have relaxed.....so I know the feeling of new growth and not being able to comb your hair........but that's what I would do IMO......but save a lot money cuz some stylist charge an arm and a leg if it's pass a certain limit on stretching relaxer.....

Hmm...if I were you I'd stretch a little longer then see how you feel. You think you can stretch an additional 11 weeks to make it a 6 month stretch?

Hmmm eleven more weeks shouldnt be tough, as long as I keep on top of removing shedding. plus that would take me out of this cold/wet winter.

right ladies, I am going to save and stretch then get me a stylist!!

Ill keep you posted... Do you think the glycering and oil is enough to moisturise the point between curly and straight? I guess it has worked so far.....

Yep, just keep up with the moisturising and deep conditioning and continue to handle your hair extra carefully.
Protective styling will really help you to get through the next 11 weeks.
