Q: How is the Infiniti by Conair’s Steam Straightener different from other straighteners?
A: This is the only steam straightener with nano silver tourmaline ceramic technology that also features conditioning ionic steam and adjustable straightening combs. Our steam feature has off/low/high settings. A generator built into the product helps eliminate frizz by producing millions of ions.

Q: What are the plates made of?
A: The aluminum plates are coated with Nano Silver, and Tourmaline Ceramic™ Technology. This helps to eliminate frizz and protect hair from damage.

Q: How do I clean the plates?
A: Simply wipe plates with a damp cloth after each use to remove any product.

Q: Will the Steam Straightener work on all types of hair?
A: Yes. It’s designed for the most delicate, thin hair to the coarsest, hard-to-straighten hair. (Instructions for use on each type of hair are in the package)

Q: What temperature does the Steam Straightener reach?
A: There are 5 ultra-high heat settings from 285 degrees Fahrenheit to 395 degrees Fahrenheit.

Q: How quick does the Steam Straightener heat up?
A: It takes only 30 seconds.

Q: Is the water compartment only for water?
A: Yes. We recommend that you only use distilled water.

Q: Does the Steam Straightener help hair not frizz in humid temperatures?
A: Yes. The advanced Nano Silver Tourmaline Ceramic™ technology and our 2-stage styling system lets you achieve longer lasting salon-straight looks, every time you style in every weather condition.

Q: Is it safe to use the Steam Straightener everyday?
A: Yes. Our 2 stage styling system first infuses hair with conditioning ionic steam, and then locks in all that healthy moisture with the heated plates. The results are sensational, silky, shinier, pin-straight styles that last.

Q: How does the detangling comb work?
A: The retractable detangling combs separate tangles and tame even the most unruly frizz. The three different comb heights, high, low and off, make this the perfect straightener for any hair type, even thick and coarse texture. You can set the comb height that best fits your hair type.

Q: Will the Steam Straightener turn off automatically?
A: Yes. It will automatically turn off after 60 minutes.

Q: What should I do if the Steam Straightener won’t turn on?
A: Check the on/off button to ensure product is turned on. Also, make sure that the water reservoir is full. Steam slide switch on side of handle should be turned on to either low or high steam setting.

Just bought mine today at Targe along with the Conair Infiniti Hair Design Pro Dryer

Customer Reviews
I have several flatirons in my arsenal but this one intrigued me because of the steam. I also like the teeth as I feel it helps to get the hair straight. I use this on my 11 year old and her hair not only looks fabulous, but it stays that way for days. It feels healthy and silky (I do use a heat protectant when her hair is wet so that when it dries it's already in there). She loves having shiny silky straight hair and this iron makes me feel like it's safer for the health of the hair. I don't know that it works on every hair type but it works great on her wavy, frizzy-ish long hair.

This straightner works very well and leaves my hair very soft feeling. I have course thick hair . One thing a person does need is a 12 CC syringe to fill up the water reserviour and it has to be forced in to fill it up properly.

Hair Type- This product worked great for my hair which is especially frizzy and curly/wavy-ish. The only way I was able to achieve straight hair in the past was if I started to blow dry my hair while still damp, which I knew caused more damage, and frizz control was always a problem. The Infiniti was very convenient considering my hair is really thick and it always feels like it'll take forever to do something if I get started. Time Saver- It was also very time efficient. Whereas blow drying + a conventional straightener would have taken me an hour, at least, the Conair Infiniti cost me under an hour to half an hour. Humidity/Frizz- And though impossible it may sound, it definitely fought frizz more than I ever thought it would. Even two days later my hair was relatively calm and there wasn't any frizz compared to what it would have looked like in the past. A definite benefit. The only thing I'm not sure about is if it actually helps make your hair healthy. Yes my hair does have great shine after using this straightener, and it isn't as dry as before but I'm not putting strands under a microscope or anything. For those of you that don't like the product maybe you aren't using it properly or something. If it managed to tame my hair it should work for a lot more people. Maybe your hair type is an exception.

This completely does what it says! I read the reviews & wondered but bought anyway. My hair type is medium coarse & I currently own a CHI - this works better than my CHI because of the shine & now my hair is silkly. In fact, it was too straight! I cut my hair (wish I hadn't now) so my long hair would have been super. Tried w/day old dry hair & thought, if it didn't work, I'd wash/condition it and start again. Didn't have to -you'd think I had done my daily routine or come from a hairdressers!!! Highly recommend to all - just make sure you know how to use a straightener - don't listen to bad reviews unless they tell you hair type, and experience w/straighteners. Cons-yes the water reserve does empty fast, but if you're a mom or multi-tasker in the mornings like me, no worries. Unplug, pop out, refill, check on the kids/feed the dog, come back, pop back in and finish up. AND this is day one - I'll write another in 2wks.

have used many straightening irons, I have wavy frizzy hair, this one requires less heat to accomplish the desired offect. My stylist also uses a steam system to penetrate the hair, and I believe the new nano technology with steam is a new breakthrough. I hope Conair will make a curling iron with the same nano steam technology as well.

I first saw this product on an ad on television. I thought it would never work on my hair. But as I continued to watch the ad i started to like it more and more. My point is, I ordered this flat iron and I have been in love with it ever since. Being a woman of African American descent I love the fact that it works on my frizzy, curly, thick hair. I also love that you can set it on different tempratures to adjust to any kind of hair. And its so quick and easy to use.

I just love this product. I am a African American with coarse thick relaxed hair. I must say after using this product I will not use another kind of straightner or flat iron. I love the combs, and the adjustable heat settings. It made my hair soft and silky. I also used it on my niece who has long really thick hair. It usually takes forever to finish, however I was done much quicker. She just loved how it felt when I finished, as it was shiny and silky.
Great!!!!

I am a black woman with very thick hair. I used to use relaxers, but disliked the damaging effects. For the last 10 years I have been using a hair straightener instead of a chemical relaxer. I ordered this item because I was in need of a new hair straightener with enough safe heat to straighten my naturally curly hair. This product is a winner. It is worth the price and much more... This is an excellent hair straightener. I highly recommend it.

My 10 year old daughter has long curly kinky hair that she can't stand. I can empathize as she inherited my hair. But on her it looks cute! But when I saw this infomercial, I thought I should give it a try, even though styling hair is not my thing. I can honestly say that it is as easy as it shows on TV and does a really nice job. My 15 year old who has beautiful thick wavy hair also uses it, and she says its way better than any straightener she's ever owned and she's owned plenty. The straight hair lasts until it's washed. This is a great product.

Ive been seeing the commercials for this and thought "Oh I'm sure that this doesn't work on black people hair", But after reading the reviews from a great amount of African American people......I Am Conviced.

I want one now. This may be my choice of flatiron when I purchase a new one.

I just might have to look into this then. do you recommend it over the maxiglide?
I would... merely for aesthetics though as I've never used the maxiglide. The conair is lighter and you don't have to bither with changing plates if you want the flat attachment or the attachment with teeth. Hair is even more protected with the tourmaline coating on the conair.

I got myself one TODAY at wal-mart and that flat iron is my new LOOOVVEER i dont care what nobody says, ill even sleep with it!!! lol I was too curious and couldnt wait for my relaxer day to try it (haha).

So i heated it on the second heat setting(320 i believe) put some nexxus heat protexx on a lock of hair, passed it twice and my hair was STRAIGHT and oh so sooooooooft. I couldnt believe it!!!lol im a 4b/zzzz natural... and that baby got me thinkin about just staying natural for a few minutes hehe

What i learned today : When it comes to heat appliances you truly get what you pay for. ( I had a cheap 20$ revlon flat iron before that LOL..yeah pure crap)

oh and i didnt even used distilled water.. cannot wait to use FOR REAL!!

I don't know alot about this iron, but does the steam work with the flat plates? Did your hair frizz up after using the steam setting?

hmm i shouldve take a pic.. you can have the steam on off, low or high. It did not frizz up at all because of the steam. i actually think it helped with leaving the hair soft AND shiny!:drunk:

Ill try to post some results this week end after the relaxer and all:yep:

I have had mine for about a year but haven't used it yet. I've been using my MaxiGlide and will try my Chi next. I'll get around to it though. :yep:

I purchased this flat iron this week through overstock.com for $50.00. I tried it today on both my hair and DD's hair....we're both natural.

Love it and it gets raves review from me. I was skeptical about using a steam flat iron on natural hair but I'm a convert now.
