$30 a month:lachen: for hair products, vitamins and advice? She is really doing her thing with her business; Can't be mad at that! But I won't be supporting:look:

Only up to 24 inches now! But it's seriously sad to think of all these people she's getting rich off of. Times like these i am so thankful of you wonderful ladies at lhcf.

How do you do a 30 day money back guranteed, with hair growth. I mean that has to be some potent stuff. Good gimmick, though.

I completely agree. I remember back in my pre-lhcf days when I felt so desperate about my hair, I might have been suckered by something like this. Instead, I found this site and the wonderful ladies here who taught me how to better care for my relaxed hair. Thank goodness!

Oh, Lisa :perplexed

This marketing makes the product seem like such a gimick, when in actuality her products really aren't that bad. And they have good ingredients too. I've tried the Moisture Plus Moisturizer and the Oil Sheen in a Jar before.

They both can be a bit heavy, but for the most part they are really decent products. She is localized in Memphis, so I was able to go to her shop/store and buy the products. She also participates in the Sisterhood Showcase that Memphis has every June, where she has all of her products on display. I've peeped the ingredients on them, and they pass the LHCF test. She has a shampoo, conditioner, setting lotion, etc.

(Disclaimer: No, I don't work for them, lol. I'm just giving an honest review since I've had access to try her products).

ETA: If someone were truly interested in trying her products, I say ditch the $29.99 a month advertisement, buy a couple of the products and consult LHCF with how to use them (a shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, etc).

You have to remember that she teaches from a trichologist point of view. She has a lot of free info on her site and tv show without having to buy anything. I like the fact that she list the PH of her shampoos. I actually learned about PH from her and not LHCF. Plus her hair looks healthy since she transitioned. Now, I have not purchased her products but I would if I go to the Sisterhood Showcase this year.

it took me years and lots of money to finally get a regimen together. im pretty sure ive spent about the same amount of money on products and hair tools for her 29.99 a month. If there was a way to get it all in one i would have tried it especially w/ a money back guarantee.

Believe me, somebody will go for it. I can't say that it's a gimmick or not, I know quite a few folks that find her techniques and products to be effective for them. She's been around a while and has a pretty successful business and following so maybe she's found something that actually works. Don't knock it....especially when some folks are willing to buy vaginal products or visit the Feed Store to pick up products seeking the highly coveted 5 inches of growth in a month.

It seems like she knows what she is talking about in terms of haircare. LHCF members don't need her but other people that are "lost" in terms of haircare may benefit from paying her $29 a month in hopes of 24" of hair... ok typing that made me lol but, seriously.

I think I might direct some of my "I want long hair but I don't want to work for it" friends to her site or maybe her book.

Well, I won't be participating, but doesn't seem too crazy to me. However I think if her line is "get the length", her own long hair would be her best advertisement. If she has no pictures or evidence of being able to "get the length" even on her own head, I'd be hesitant to take her advice on that particular point.

I mean, be honest. How many of you spend / have spent more than $30/mo on hair products? For that price you get the personal advice of a professional plus the hair products. LHCF is great for those of us who don't mind wading through about 500 posts on every topic, with 20 different opinions in each of those topics. But not everybody got the time or patience for that. I'm not going to knock it. If I thought it could really help me, I'd sign up (if I weren't broke :giggle:).

Im sorry, but for someone who is a Guru on hair care and charges for her advice, I would expect her hair to be "jaw-dropping" gorgeous and it is NOT, AT ALL...man please, when she get the length, then I'll change my mind...

I agree with Br*nze, her hair looks pretty healthy. I don't think I would take any advice from her though because she's natural and I'm relaxed. Nonetheless, she's ripping people off and that's not cool. But I'm not going to knock her hustle...it's a recession. lol

Her eyebrows are nervous...lol...but on a serious note, she is a licensed trichologist so she knows her ish...so this would be beneficial to those women want "instant" results....but I think she's reaching with the 24inches :look:

no, it "up to" 24 inches. :) This reminds me of a Rocky and Bullwinkle episode where Boris was saying he would be some art work for "up to" $2.99.

I'm not mad at her, she may be really good at this. But again, even if she doesn't want long hair right now, I'd still need to see that she was able to do it at some point. Knowing something in theory is different than being able to implement it in practice.

.... and the majority of salon horror stories are about licensed stylists...
