I'm really good at sticking to my shampoo and dc cycle. I've been faithful for a whole year. I am now learning how to listen to my hair, and give it what it needs.:yep: But I can switch up products in a minute!!! I'm learning so much new info from you ladies here at LHCF, and that's why its so hard for me to be product consistent!! But I love the fact that I can be free to experiment and try all the new products whenever I want to! This past year, I have been really luving using ayurveda shampoos, oils, and powders. I will slowly settle into a consistent regimen one day, but right now, I'm having too much fun trying out all these new products and ideas.

I feel like i don't even have a reggie lol. I don't think i have a consistant routine besides washing bi weekly. I am still looking for a good moisturing deep conditioner. Hopeful tonight i will have some luck with biolage hydratherapie.

I have a collection of things I do to my hair; not really a regimen. I do whatever I feel like to my hair. I decide what my hair needs day by day and do that. No schedule for me. ;)

I was doing fine before I started reading these hair boards. Then slowly but surely I turned into an oil, pomade and conditioner junkie--trying less expensive items to get the same results as my expensive products was my goal. Now I have a large stash of secondary products. Nevertheless, they are good quality products.

Well i basicly stick to it, but i also tweak it every every now and then. I might throw a pre poo in here and a whatever in there but it's the same regimen.

I have a regimen but I'm lazy so sometimes I completely ignore it and just wash and go everyday. Not really a good idea. But, usually I'm good. I don't mind trying new things as long as they meet certain criteria (all natural, not too difficult, doesn't involve too many steps).

I'm pretty strict when it comes to my regimen. I have a set day to wash & deep condition. I'm strict when it comes to my protective style & only wear it down 1x a week. I'm strict on moisturizing daily & taking my vitamins daily etc... I'm on a serious mission to make my goals here :)

Since I had my baby girl these last 22 days I have thrown my old regimen or hair care process out the window. Currently my new regimen involves my hair being in medium sized individual kanekalon braids for 2009.

Once a week I do the following:

  1. Washing my braids and scalp w/ diluted shampoo w/ tsp of baking soda.
  2. Slater on diluted Nexxus Humectin conditioner to my braids (not the scalp) and letting that sit for 30 mins - 2 hours (it depends) under a plastic cap and rinse out.
  3. Applying melted coconut oil and razac leave in to my braids (avoiding scalp).
Every 4th week or when needed:

  1. Redo braids that look loose
  2. Redo braids around hair line (constantly checking for build up)
So far so good and maybe I'll see and retain some great growth from this routine.

Gosh! Your hair grew in fast and thick! Congratulations; she's beautiful.:yep:

Hmmm...I'm pretty strict when it comes to taking my vitamins and growth aides. I don't have to be reminded to do this ever. I also moisturize and seal nightly.
When it comes to washing or cowashing....I listen to my hair. I try to wash at least once a week but sometimes I wash more than that or cowash 1x-4x a week.

I'm only strict when it comes to my 11 year old. She has a simple regimen but her wash day is on Sundays and we just use this time to do hair and bond.

Every now and again I will, but I try not to do it too much because my hair likes it when I keep things simple. Sometimes, I'll break routine to test out a new product or try a new method of doing something, but overall, I try to stick to what I know. :)

When I first started, I was very strict in sticking to my reggie.

Nowadays, I have a reggie, but if I feel like co washing on some random day, I'll do it. If I get the urge to do a flexi rod set, I'll do it.

What about you all, are you strict or lax?

well I'm transitioning so the longer the new growth gets the my regi changed... for instance three to four months in, I flat ironed the new growth now I wouldn't waste my time doing that so I just do twist outs....

but even relaxed I washed twice a week for as long as I can remember and I still do but now I co wash more:)

I follow my haircare regimen...but it's so simple it would be hard not too. I co-wash and/or dc on the weekend and use a moisturizing spritz twice daily.

Now my hairstyles and or products used may vary...i.e. now I'm in kinky twist and I do a rollerset every couple of weeks. When I do two-strand twists I may or may not do a rollerset and I usually do a twist out for the weekend prior to washing but not always.

I am trying to do better by my hair for 09. I didn't really have a regimen last year, this year i want to stick to one, but not 100% rigid.

I'm pretty strict about it I guess. I just know what I'm supposed to do and do it. Moisturising for example is just another part of my day now like bathing or brushing my teeth.

I am not strict at all. I do what I can afford at the time. I am transitioning and the process was a pain for me to handle on my own, so I have added reinforcements. I have been going to a professional, but that is expensive, so my reggy is definitely fluctuating.

I'm lax to the point of being lazy. I know what works and how to get what I want so I guess I'm just chilling. I don't even feel like I have a regimen anymore, I just do what needs t/b done and that's it. Crazy how I still manage t/b a PJ though :look:. This hair is becoming more and more work so whatever gets me in and out the quickest w/the least amount of tangles, shedding and breakage, I'm all for it. My hair is growing like crazy right now so it must like my laziness .

ditto

I'm strict about the process in my regi (DC, shampoo, rollerset, etc.). I do rotate through several products that I've determined work best on my hair. I'm not strict about my growth aids at all and I need to get back into them.

I am a creature of habit (aka anal:look:) and don't tend to deviate too far from any of my routines, including my hair regimen.
