What temperture setting do you use? Why?

What is your hair type?

Are your strands fine, dense or in between?

Are you relaxed ,natural or tex?

I have my FHI set around 325 or lower (about 300) when I am freshly relaxed. Why? It's sufficient and I don't want to set it any higher than necessary. My hair is 4b. My hair is fine and I am bonelaxed.

I don't go any higher than 350 degrees; Anything past that seems to cook my hair!

What is your hair type?

A little 3C, but mostly 4A

In between

Are you relaxed ,natural or tex?

Natural

I use my FHI 207 RVI on 300-325 degrees. I use it at this temp because it gets my hair straight enough so it is no point in using it at any temperature higher than that. I am relaxed (texlaxed) and my strands are somewhere in between the middle. My hair type is 4a/b i think:look:

Wow you are natural?! Did you flat iron your hair with the FHI in your siggy?

300 for previously relaxed hair,330-370 for new growth

4a hair type

eta: technique really does matter, i am now able to straighten new growth at 260-300 by using very thin/small sections and pulling the hair taughtly while flat ironing.

370 degrees. I read an article that hair should not be flat iron daily about 368 degress. I think 370 is safe for my hair.

Fine

I have the FHI that automatically goes up to the temperature no gage and I like it better than the one with the temperature on it. It's called an Auto-senese control and it automatically calibrates the heater based on hair texture. I think it gets up to 410 degrees? I can't remember but the Automatic one is my fav
