I was JUST about to suggest the GHD mini styler when I saw the title of this thread but yea it is 220 though :ohwell: I have a GHD (the hot pink one hehehe) and they are soo worth it for the price but I dunno about 200+ just for the something that you plan to use on the roots.

How about the miniglide? I have one of those. It is not full ceramic like the GHD it is ceramic coated.

Thanks. Yeah, I just got the (pink :look:) FHI so I don't need another iron for all my hair. Plus it would take forever to use a 1/2 inch iron on my hair. I just want one for roots. :yep:

Who makes the miniglide? Is it at Folica? Does it have teeth?

No its by the same dude who makes the maxiglide http://www.maxiusbeauty.com/product.php?cat=22 I think that it may cost around $30.. not too sure though because I got the maxi/miniglide set and this was years back.

Oh and yes it does have teeth.

My friend as a 1/2 Wee Chi that she got a while back. I like that its a more compact/ slim downed version of a regular iron with smaller plates vs a short and bulky mini version that looks like a toy. Ive been looking for it since early December. but its very hard to find. Im very impressed with that iron, but Im starting to think it may be discontinued.

I have the Sedu Shortie that works well, but my Mom bought a similar no name mini flatiron from Marshalls. It looks very similiar to the orginal Sedu and works just as good as the Sedu Shortie imo.

I got one from Sally's - 30 bucks.

How do you like it?

I read on Folica I believe that the Wee Chi is dc'd. :ohwell:

I saw this on Folica, 1/2 inch Sedu for 50 bucks.

Wow, lhcf ladies are coming through once again! :drunk: My sis has a sedu. Lemme check this out. I will definitely check into the $30 one at Sally's as well. I only plan on using it once or twice a month but I still want it to be effective. :yep:

Oh, there's a Fhi Platform at Trade Secret - I could get it for $125 with my discounts and cards (it retails for $165). So I need to weigh all my options. :lick:

I got a Linea Pro Mini and it is GREAT! Got that NG like nothing else.

Constant 410 degree heat so I can only use it on my roots, but it works great.

I got it for $20 with a sale and coupon. I see them on ebay for $15.

fhi platform has one that's 4/10 of an inch(the smallest you can get) which also has the temperature control dial. I'm currently trying to get one now but waiting to see the cheapest i can get it. I currently have the hai twig 1/2 inch but will be returning as I was under the impression it was 3/8 of an inch but is really 1/2 an inch.Smaller irons really due straighten the heck out of new growth.

I got my WEE Chi from Trade Secret little over a year ago. Call them and see if they have some... I was in TS last week but didn't look at the irons.

The WEE chi has temp control which I love.

I have the FHI Platform 4/10". It is perfect for roots and edges... I got it for about $100 on ebay.

I got a H2Pro flat iron that is 4/10". The model number is 100YVI. I got the flat iron, because the stylist who did my hair in my siggy used the H2Pro iron on my roots and used a larger flat iron on the rest of my hair. I got my H2Pro on ebay. I spent about $75 with shipping. The link is: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-H2PRO-CERAM...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

I figured it she was using it on my hair, then it must be good. :yep:

My main iron is the H2Pro 207YVI. I love it. It is better than FHI, IMO.

I will check out the 100yvi. I like that it has a variable temp control.

Whoo, your hair is a commercial for that iron!!!

I saw this in TS for $165. I have a discount and gift card so I could get it a little less. It was at beautychoice.com for almost $200. :ohwell: I'll check ebay....

Here's one more that's $73 and is 3/8 inch. I'm still trying to get even cheaper....

I have a 1/2 sedu and I heart it!

I have the Hai Twig which is 3/8 of an inch and it works. It has been a big help in stretching and now my transition. But I'm a Sedu lover so my 1/2 inch Sedu should be arriving tomorrow!!! Only setback is that the Sedu one does not have a heat/temperature control :wallbash:

3rd person to mention the Twig and I like that it has temperature control. Decisions, decisions!!! :wallbash:

Ok guys, I got a TS-2 mini detailer. It was $19.99 at Marshall's and comes with a heat glove. I like the way it gets a lot closer to my roots and it gets pretty hot (400 degrees). It is 6 inches and really easy to work with - has a swivel cord. The temp is NOT adjustable but it is a lot more affordable to me than the Fhi.

I tried it today but my hair was already a little straight. I tried it on dd's hair and it came out very soft. So far I am pleased, but I want to try it when my hair is more textured. I can't wait to do a straight style, maybe next weekend! It doesn't seem to heat up immediately like the Fhi, but still heats up within 60 seconds. I don't *think* it was 400 degrees but I could be wrong. It was still hot. :yep: I only had it on about 5 minutes.

Marshall's also had a Babyliss Pro mini but it was $25 and I couldn't see that big of a difference (aside from the fact that it didn't come with the heat glove), so I went with the cheaper option. :look: If it works out well over the next month I'll keep it!
