hey ladies im interested in trying this style unfortunately due to issue's with my pc i cant view curlynikki's pictourial. Is it as basic as it sounds?

i didnt really read the tutorial but it seemed easy: just twist halfway and roll the rest on a roller. it might be more difficult for one who has thicker and coarser hair.

well i dont know what i did wrong... either not enough twist or not tight enough or my hair was a little to wet but i had the tightest curls!! im talking little orphan annie tight... i took pictures and will post shortly.

The results will highly depend on your curl pattern and what products you use. If you have a very tight curl pattern it will not look exactly like Nikki's. Did you use hair clips at the roots? Try PM'ing Nikki, she is a member here.

ETA: Nevermind, I see Nikki posted.

I make 16 twists ( of course, every head is different)

I part in four sections.... Four in each quadrant..........Use clips at the top of each twist........

then use rollers or perm rods on the ends.

I got good results sitting under the dryer for 1/2 an hour.

I attached my attempts.....

This is so true :yep: I do 20 twists, four sections of five and clip the roots only in the crown/frontal. I've had better results on damp hair (for me, anyway). I actually posted this on her blog this morning.

This was my first attempt on soaking wet hair:

This was the 2nd try after tweaking the directions a bit and doing it on damp hair, about 80% dry, not fluffed:

ETA: I think I have more pics on my camera, I'll look and see.

that looks great, i think i didnt do enough twist... plus maybe i didnt use a good product i used garnier curl and shine and it made my hair dry and a little rough

If you check out Curlynikki.com, she gives tips on how to sleep and stuff. It may vary depending on hair length, but I just take one big super skinny hair tie and loosely pull my hair back then put on my satin scarf. I get up and shake it out in the morning and I'm ready to roll. It lasts that way for a couple days then I have to re-twist.
