I love Vatika! I have been using it every other night for the last 8 months and it has made my hair thick and shiny... and darker! Mine smells just like virgin coconut oil but a little earthy... not strong at all. How do you like it so far?

hehe i just used it now on me and my bff. she's relaxed and it made her hair smoooth! i also used it on her scalp

i oil my scalp and hair and then brush it through. our hair is now wrapped so i told her when she wakes up it should be soft

I've used it to seal and as a prepoo. It was okay, but I think after I'm finished with this bottle I'll stick to regular coconut oil.

I wish I could find it in a store. I was about to go up to a Indian woman walking down the street and ask her where to find it, but I got scared.

I liked it. I can't buy it where i am, so i had to order it online. It gets pretty expensive after i add all the shipping costs and duty...so a $4.00 becomes almost $20.00-$30.00 once i get it. So i only ordered it once. If i can find it locally i would use it all the time!

I see that it is expensive to buy it online with all the shipping costs associated with it, I bought it from an idian grocery store that just opened up within 25 miles away from my house, I bought it for $2.99 that's a very good price to get it locally.

I haven't used it since I moved to the New Orleans area (but I do know where to get it now). The oil smells very good. When you buy it, pierce the top and sit it in your tub while you are taking the shower. It'll be melted by the time you're finished and then you can apply it. I loved using a few drops daily on my ends. I usually buy the very small bottle for $1.99.

i have 2 bottles that i got a couple of months ago but i only used it once because it stinks. but i will be melting it and using it as a pre poo.

I love Vatika oil. I use it every week when I deep condition, I massage it into my scalp and hair. One of the best ayurvedic oils out there.

It's a staple for me. I use it all the time. I tend to buy 5 bottles at a time from a local Indian grocer. I'm on my last bottle now but I definitely plan on stocking up very soon.

I also love the fact that it helps to keep my hair dark.

anyone here uses this oil?

I keep re-discovering this oil. It works well on my natural flatironed hair but not on my curly natural hair. I used it tonight and my hair feels really nice, especially my ends which are still recovering from the single knots issues.

Question, I assume this oil counts as an ayurvedic product?

I use it and I love it.

I use it to seal in my daily moisturizer. I get it for 1.99 from the Indian Food store which happens to be right next door!

I use Vatika as a pre-poo and between washes on the hair and scalp on occasion. I LOVE it! It's Ayurveda for people like me who are too lazy to be steeping herbs and all of that. LOL

For the ladies who can't get it locally, try Kamdarplaza.com. It's and Indian grocery in Chicago but they do online business too. They don't mark their products up as badly as most online Indian grocers do.

If I could marry this stuff, I would. It silkens hair like no other. I like to apply it and plait or band and sleep in a process cap for an overnight mini steam session. The hair is still damp in the morning but oh so soft!

:yep: I use it after every wash to seal my leave-in condish. Over time, it has improved the health of my hair, and it always softens and adds a nice shine.
