Yes, men don't fuss over their hair or nails and that is why they grow. All the black people I have known in my life with long healthy hair wore it in pony tails all the time. My mom would wear one long braid and on Saturday night, she would put some rollers in it for church. She would get it straightened once a month. Had super long hair until she got a perm when I went to college. It all fell out. She stopped perming it and wore braids for about two years and now it is long again.

I also have a friend I work out with, she has a perm and her hair is about waist length. She gets it done once a month and she wears it in a ponytail or just straight down her back. She said her mom had a house rule that they were not allowed to touch their hair and as a result her hair is super long. She dosnt style it in between salon visits at all. It is totally beautiful.

My hair grows fast but I manipulate it to much. I cann't help it. I am vain.

His hair is the shiznit. If there's one thing i've noticed with men who grow their hair is that they do keep their hands out of their hair. I find that they will get cornrows done every 3weeks after a shampoo. I don't even think most of them bother to DC like us women do nad their hair graows fast and retains length.

Thats the #1 reason i'm going back to my weaves very soon so i can KHOMY(KEEP HANDS OUTTA MY HAIR!). It has always allowed me to retain tremendous growth and prevent breakage.
