Yes, men don't fuss over their hair or nails and that is why they grow. All the black people I have known in my life with long healthy hair wore it in pony tails all the time. My mom would wear one long braid and on Saturday night, she would put some rollers in it for church. She would get it straightened once a month. Had super long hair until she got a perm when I went to college. It all fell out. She stopped perming it and wore braids for about two years and now it is long again.

I also have a friend I work out with, she has a perm and her hair is about waist length. She gets it done once a month and she wears it in a ponytail or just straight down her back. She said her mom had a house rule that they were not allowed to touch their hair and as a result her hair is super long. She dosnt style it in between salon visits at all. It is totally beautiful.

My hair grows fast but I manipulate it to much. I cann't help it. I am vain.

Vanity is something else! Most of us are, a woman's hair is her crown and glory.

I was scared to even come in here... cuz of that thread about a month ago where that bum had the nastiest hair on earth, but the title was like "oh look at this gorgeous hair, sigh!" and I was afraid to be traumatized again! erplexed

Raspberry and Nnelove you gals are NOT alone. I HATE HATE HATE men with long hair. It makes my stomach turn for some reason..it is sooo not cute to me. I will give him props on a beautiful healthy head of hair, but it would look 100% better on a lady. I still think I like Real's hair a little better too, something bout his roller sets!
