Hello I need your help. I'm looking at the ingredients everytime I make a purchase.
Can someone tell me what ingredients makes a deep conditioner a deep condtioner and why?
What makes a cheapie conditioner like VO5 not suitable to be a deep conditioner?
Hope this makes sense
Thanks

I'm not expert but to me ingredients have nothing to do with it. I DC with cheap conditioner too. To me what makes it a DC is how long it's left on the hair not that one has different or better ingredients.

I look for specific oils, my hair loves jojoba, avocado and coconut oil. I look for cetyl alchohol and look to be sure that there are no harmful alcohols. I look for glycerin because it is very moisturizing and I pay close attention to the first five ingredients because those are really the most important one's.

It must say to leave on 20+ minutes with a cap or it is not a DC. If it does not have the proper ingredients to penetrate the hair shaft then it is not gonna work even if you leave it on for 2 days.........

I could be wrong but I can remember a member reading ingredients on a cheapie and said it has the potential to be a deep con because of the ingredients. I'm trying to find out what.

It should say to leave on fot 10 or more minutes....keep in mind that cheap conditioners may work too specially if u add evoo or oils that penetrate the hair shaft.

Imo at least....
