I was looking at this site and what stuck out to me was the fact that it said it doesn't just cover damage like silicones. Now I'm a silicone girl but I am also well aware that it is a cover up, I use it for protection. This stuff sounds too good to be true so I wanted to hear some reviews and not just the "real" testimonials on the site. They are offering free trials but a full size bottle is $60!!:eek2:

Beautiful Miss FoxyLisa uses this. She told me - she cannot live without it...

However - I won't buy anything without knowing the ingredidents. She says it is not on the bottle.... :nono: So that is a definite no go for me.............

She also said that FHI hot Sauce was similar.

Yes, I use this and love it. It is very light. I use little more than recommended, and it still makes my hair weightless. However, I don't use it by itself. I put Chi Silk Infusion on top for extra heat protection. Chi by itself makes my hair feel dry. I found that using the two together is the perfect combo for me. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever used the H2 Ion by itself. Maybe I should try it. Anyway, like Miss Jones said, the ingredients aren't on the bottle. They are on the box that comes with it, but I threw it aways awhile ago. I compared the ingredients to the FHI Hot Sauce on folica.com. They are very similar, but some ladies with the FHI Hot Sauce said that the ingredients on the bottle don't match the ingredients on folica so use it at your own risk. I can tell you that I've used Hot Sauce (don't know which version), and it didn't make my hair feel anything like the H2 Ion. I find the Hot Sauce to be greasier. H2 Ion is not greasy at all. Neither is the Chi Silk Infusion. Anyway, to wrap this thing up, you can try a sample of the H2 Ion from the company. Get the sample first.

Thanks Lisa! I am planning on ordering the sample this weekend. I find it very strange that they don't list the ingredients. Perhaps they don't want to be copied? Would you say this stuff works as they describe? That your hair is more moisturized and it's not just a cover up? TIA

Yeah I don't like the fact that they don't have the ingredients on the package. I am going to email them and see if they'll give it up:yep:

Yes, it definitely makes your hair more moisturized. :yep:

I am ordering the Sample.... So - I wil let you ladies know...

Great! Don't forget to cancel if you don't like the stuff because when you order the sample they sign you up to automatically receive (and billed) the regular sized bottle. I think its every 45 days.

I emailed them yesterday and will let you ladies know what they said when(if) they respond:yep:

What?!?!?! That's the catch, eh? That is whack!

Yeah I read that part of the deal and was like "WOW". You can cancel anytime. Even if I do like the sample I don't want to be tied in like that. Do you order yours from the official site or do you get it somewhere else?

^^No, ladies. I don't do the auto ship thing. I order directly from the site only when I need it.

Ok so that's just the trade-off for being able to get a free sample. Man, I wish they sold it at Ulta or Trade Secret. Well I will still do the sample. Read the site again and they said you have to cancel by 1/5/08 to not have them build you for future bottles. As soon as I get it I am going to call and cancel.

Oh well I just emailed to see if they will restock soon and they said it's been discontinued:perplexed

So - The Ingredients for H2Ion is the same as FHI Hot Sauce - Save ONE ingredient....
FHI has Silk Aminos... H2 Ion does not.....

Contains MIM (moisture infused microbeads.)

FHI Hot Sauce

I will spend 15 bucks... no shipping... over 60...:yep:

Wow - Foxy - you should give FHi another Chance.....

Weird.... That is the way of saying the company won't sell it to them anymore.

I know I started to ask them why but I wonder if it had something to do with them selling it so cheap. If they are selling for half price then the Ion people are losing direct sales, I guess.

Thanks for the ingredient comparison, SJ! I can't believe the hot sauce and this stuff are almost identical!!!

Hey Foxy, you have tried both. Why is H2 better for you?

LOL! I am going to email them and ask them why their product is better than hot sauce.

Yeah, I have used them both. FHI is greasier. The ingredients you posted SJ are old. A thread said the new bottles have a different ingredient list. I like H2 Ion better b/c it is not greasy at all. You can use a ton of it, and it would never feel greasy.

AHHH!!! Thanks - I will take a look at the bottle. I have it....:yep:

Awesome Foxy!! Thanks! They (H2 Ion) responded to my email about their ingredients not being printed on the bottle and they told me that it is on the box.

I did order the sample and if I like it I will just get the regular size, I can't stand greasy hair and I tend to be a little heavy handed when it comes to heat protectants. That's why I didn't like Redken Heat Glide, it was too greasy!

ETA: Ok I just looked at the new ingredients list for the Hot Sauce and it has a LOT of oils in it for a heat protectant! Which I don't understand because oil is suppose to fry the hair when paired with high heat. I think I'm gonna pursue the H2 Ion. And I did email H2 about having the same ingredients as FHI but I was referring to the wrong list. Oh well, I asked them why their product would be better for my hair than the Hot Sauce.

You're welcome. I agree. I have used Redken Heatglide and hate it. Way too greasy for me! Anyway, I hope you like the H2 Ion. I do. I haven't tried it by itself though. If I do, I will give you a report on it.

You are very welcome SJ:drunk: Yeah isn't that crazy. I can't see that being good for the hair with a flat iron. Then I thought maybe they don't put a lot of the oils in the mixture but still I would rather stay safe.

Yeah I'm kinda scared to try it alone without a heavier silicone for protection but then I wonder if I'm cutting the effectiveness of the product in half by using it with other products. Well it says it's a heat protectant so I will try it the first time by itself and see how I like it. Yes, if you do try it alone can't wait to hear your report:yep:

If I were to buy it - would Still use my Sabino... I don't want to take any chances.....

I know, that's exactly what I would use on top, Sabino:yep: I was gonna use the H2 alone and just go by how my hair "feels" but I have learned when it comes to heat damage you cannot go by feeling. Hair could feel awesome and be as fried as an egg.

I probably won't get the samples until next week because of the holidays but I will certainly post my review when I get it. I have just been through too many heat protectants that didn't work. I am so glad I found sabino but I would like a little more moisture as well.
