I'm dying to try this line..when I have some $.. I think a couple of girls on NC have tried them.. you could do a search on there.. I do remember them getting a good review.

I just emailed her as well, asking for pics and/or testimonials. That will help me decide if I should try her products or not, especially with her strict return policy.

Here's the response I received, Ladies:

We are currently putting together photos for the site, but they probably won't appear for another 3-4 weeks. In the meantime if you'd like, feel free to try out our sample sets which are quite reasonably priced and allow you to "take a chance". Thank you!

Sincerely,

The Staff at Curl Junkie Hair Products

I'll wait for the pics.

Wow, I had forgotten about this thread

Here's her response to me:

Hi Antionette,

We are currently working on getting some pictures together to post, but they
probably won't appear on the website for another month or so. If you have
any questions regarding the products and their usage, feel free to send
another email and I'll answer as best I can.

Best,

Marsha

Here's my response and then her's:

Okay, thanks Marsha.

I was just a little confused on which product set to use. I think it is
safe to go with the Thick and Luscious sample kit first.

Are your products curl enhancing?

Thanks for the quick response.

"Curl Fuel" is a curl enhancer/reviver. The rest of the products sort of
"set the stage" to encourage your curls by providing plenty of moisture. The
sample set is probably the best way to go to get an overall view of the
line. If you are looking for a true styling product, then there are three
cremes available. Coffee Coco has a light hold and the Guava/Guava & Protein
cremes have medium hold. These are if you wash and wear your hair.

If you have any further questions, feel free to write back. Thanks.

Best,

Marsha

Anywho, if I really do get around to ordering, I'll post reviews.

I use the products and LOVE IT!!! Marsha has hair like mine and these products make my hair feel VERY GOOD, soft and luscious!

I've heard of this line. The products look really good. I'm getting ready to order the Thick and Lucious sample pack soon.

I tried the hibiscus bliss shampoo, thick and luscious conditioner, thick and luscious leave in, coco coffee cream and the pomade.

The shampoo is very gentle, it is watery and it doesn't lather (I LOVE shampoos that don't lather, btw). It also smells like coconuts. I like it a lot.

The conditioner is thick, and while it is moisturizing, it is not my favorite. It is above average though, and it smells like coffee and coconuts. I think it works better as a leave in.

I'm not in love with the leave in. Don't get me wrong, it is thick and creamy. It isn't bad, but it isn't rich enough for me. It smells like bananas.

The coco coffee styling cream is like a leave in mixed with a light hold styling gel. It has a soft meringue texture, and it smells like coconuts. I really like this one, but the catch is that I can't use it on damp or dry hair. Only soaking wet hair.

I love the pomade. It is more oily than waxy, and it smells like lavender and citrus. I use it on my dry hair. It has absolutely no hold, and I use it just like an oil.

i recently decided to try this line since another member here recommended it. I just emailed her a pic of my hair and she gave me a list of recommended hair products. The owner has 3c/4a hair. I didn't try her products yet, i think i will try them tomorrow and put the pics in my album. I thought i would need products from the thick and luscious line but she recommended the intense protection leave in for fine hair and the guava and protein curl creme. so, i'll let you ladies know tomorrow how well they did on my hair.

Cool jasmine. Definitely keep us updated :)

Funny. Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but I didn't see any of the pics that are supposed to have went up.

I can't seem to find any sample packs. Where did they go? I really don't want to get a big size of something and have it not work. I'm interested in the Hibiscus and Banana Deep Fix and the leave in.

I think Curl Junkie stopped making the sample packs, they used to be sold on Curlmart.com. I also noticed that SistasPlace.biz is starting to carry Curl Junke products now, you might want to email them to see if they will offer sample packs of the line.

Curl Junkie and Blended Beauty products are the only ones that I consistently used during transitioning to natural, and they leave my hair very moisturized. A little goes a long way.

HTH

I used this a LOOONG time ago. I ordered it from CurlMart. Let's see if I can remember...I know I used The Hibiscus & Banana Deep Fix it was pretty good, smelled great but that little jar lasts like 2-3 uses.:nono: The Coffee-Coco Curl Cream-Hated it. I think I JUST threw that junk away when I moved. I was holding on to it hoping I could find a use for it. It did smell good though.

Oh and I did use one of the curl sprays but I really can't remember how I liked that it was so long ago.

I love the banana and honey butta leave in for thick and luscious hair. It is one of the best moisturizers out there.

Bumpity bump bump I am revisiting the site and do not see the Hibiscus shampoo I used about 2 years ago! What gives?

Hmmm, not sure. The other bad thing is that they seem to only sell on nc.com now-- no more sistasplace. There is one other website that I saw but it wasn't a secure site.
:(

This is too bad-- I really like their honey butta...but nc.com charges a grip to ship their products, so I've been going back to my trusty CURLS line instead, which is good too but not the same.

Are you for real? They used to sell in a few places..unusual places but still more than just nc.com! I am mad I can't find the hibiscus shampoo!
