I know right :yep: black is such an AWESOME color on the hair, imo. My salon appt. is this Friday at 9:30 and I am going to ask for the blackest rinse she has in the shop:grin:.

I only do black hair...I love it! I've always used rinses in the past but now I am embarking on henna/indigo, hoping to get blinging jet black hair.

I love black hair. But remember if you dye it permanently--they say once you go black you CAN'T go back. Growing out permanent black dye SUCKS.

These are the rinses I want to try next:

Beyond the Zone Color Jamz Purple Passion
SBS-140564

Clairol Jazzing Bluest Black
SBS-320948

Is it safe to put rinses on top of each other? I want to know what the purple will be like on top of the jet black.

If not, I'll do the black now and do the purple for spring/summer.

This is true, I have used Bigen enough times to know that even if I wanted to go lighter it would be too much of a hassle. I would probably have a lot of damge. I am just going to do rinses from here on out I think.

Jet black hair always looks healthier and shinier. I've never dyed my hair black and don't intend to because it may be hard to get out should I decide on another color but it has gotten noticeably darker since being natural.

now, I just have like a general question. . . and I hope I am saying it right. A lot of the ladies that get black rinses are fairly light or like brownskin. . . I am fairly dark & and i really like BLACK BLUE just tar black hair . I mean it looks healthier and always looks luscious. My hair is currently it's natural color which is 1bish (for all my wiggy, weavy chicks). . . what do ya'll think about a lot of dark skin and a lot of dark hair. I just think it would look pretty gothish. :lachen:

I would agree there's not as much as a contrast for us dark skinned ladies. I don't like jet black hair on me. I think it's too dark. I prefer my dark brown/off black 1b hair. I've never bought jet black hair either. My mom is lighter and looks great with jet black though. And her hair naturally is black whereas mine isn't.

I think it's beautiful. I feel like I'd look goth and have to wear makeup to pull off black hair so I won't look like I'm dead.

I'm naturally a 6 (:() with blonde around my face. I'm scared to go so dark and have to figure out a way to color my stupid ring of blonde without getting it all over my face.

I have this same exact rinse in the bathroom drawer staring at me like "Please use me". It's been there for almost a year.

 I had mine for a while, too, and decided that I was ready for a change. I'm SO glad I did it. I'm going to have to stock up on some more!

I'm in love with Black hair. My brown hair dind't look as vibrant and beautiful on me as this!! I used Bigen to dye my hair, I hope it stays this way FOREVER loool

I'm a Bigen fan as well. :yep: Love the stuff but I'd like to try henna/indigo one day.

see that is how I feel. . . I have tried a black wig. . . it is just a whole lot of 'black' :lachen:

I am a dark skin sista and I love blk hair, I have never dyed mine but I have used rinses a while ago. I always use the 1 or 1b hair for braids, LF, and sew-ins. I need to just get the balls to rinse my hair more often.
I am dark but blk makes my skin look lighter if that makes sense....

I havent tried the bigen. Ive seen it at least 8000 times and have seen the ladies on the board speak on it. I think because Im lazy I have been hesitant.

Your hair looks great GAbulldawg. :yep: A couple days ago I did a jet black rinse (Beautiful Collections) followed by a rollerset and some oil for shine and I'm in love! :lick: My hair looks so vibrant and I can't stay out of the mirror. :giggle:

I am kinda scared to do the Bigen b/c of the ladies getting bad reactions. I would like to try it though on a spot behind my ear to see, but which Bigen are you ladies using? I have seen like 3 different kinds.

I'm trying to decide whether to dye my hair black (not jet black) or dark brown.

My hair is usually brownish red. It doesn't pop. Black hair pops more. My hair looks dull and it doesn't shine.

not really, lol. It seems it would look fine to me.....

i did my first rinse yesterday and I love it! My hair looks so much better than my natural dirty brown, ashy colored hair. I think I am a rinser for life. I'm definitely not considering dying my hair.

I dye my hair black with henna and indigo and love it. Been doing it for the past 2 years. The most Ill stray is highlights and Ill only go that far with weaves, or braids.

I love black hair also, and recently used Bigen to color. I used Oriental Black. I think it's #59. I did an allergy test (on my inside elbow, as directed) 48 hours before, and I had no reaction. If you continue using, you need to perform the allergy test each time, even if you didn't have a reaction the previous time(s).

I love black hair! My hair is naturally a weird black/brownish color (with some gray), and black rinses do a great job of giving me a uniform black color, covering my gray and making my hair look shiny and healthier. I've used them for years....I started out with Clairol Beautiful and now use KISS. There's a pic of my hair in my siggy.

Prospurr, that spiral set is BEAUTIFUL!!! And the black hair definitely does set it off. I think I'm going to do one tonight... What rollers did you use?

I think the opposite. I'm a medium color and I think blue black hair on me would make me look pale or like I"ve seen a ghost. I would LOVE to have jet black, blue black hair. I think jet black hair on a mocha chocolate girl would look FABULOUS!
ETA~ I do henna/indigo with my mixture being a warm black.

Awww, thank you so much! For the spiral set, I used 1" magnetic rollers with the snap-on covers. If you do one, please post a pic.
