Okay I've had a flat iron for more than a year and have used it less than five times. This is the first time it turned out beautiful and I am really happy with my results.

I overnight dc'd Friday. Washed and deep conditioned Saturday. I also coffee rinsed and had way less shedding so I'm adding that to my reggie. I let my hair air dry with a tiny bit of Hot6 oil and profectiv break free in it to detangle. I put my hair in four fat twist sections, put a scarf on and went to bed.

I used a mix of methods (I've been watching flat iron videos on youtube like whoa). I took section by section with the comb chase method. I used the Ion anti frizz, flat iron spray as my heat protectant.

The curls from the twists were actually super cute and I will probably do smaller ones to go to a holiday party in a couple of weeks.

The first section before. Supa cute curls.

Also ignore my lighting it's dark in my apartment already.

First section. Way straighter than I've gotten it before. I didn't burn myself or my hair YAY.

All DONE. The back isn't quite as straight because the texture and NG different than the rest of my head. And this is a good shot of my color from hennaing.

No swang but lots of bounce. It's a bit straighter than I know what to do with but I like it.

But YAY I did it. :creatures:woot:

Nice! What kind of flat iron did you use?

It's a Salon Creations I got on super clearance at Sally's last year. It's nice I think, ceramic plates. Adjustable heat. I use it on 375 but it goes up to 500. The only big flaw in it is that the temp adjustment buttons get in the way I and press them accidentally sometimes.

Thanks ladies. :)

Good job!!!! I guess we were some flat ironing fools this weekend, I flat ironed my hair too. And even thought that wasn't your intended style your twist out looks so shiny you should definitely try that again.
