Ok, so I've read the threads and what I've noticed is that ladies are posting either, yes for MN but mostly for thinning hair or bald spots; or NO would never try it because its an antifungal. So what I want to do is take a simple YES or NO poll.
Yes, add it to my regimen.... if so how to use it and why to add it (from experience)
OR
No, do NOT use it... if not why (from experience)....
I would rather not have answers from ladies who would rather not try it.
I do not have thinning hair or bald spots, and my hair is between APL && BSL.
LET ME KNOW LADIES!!
THANKS!

I love MN. I swear it has more than tripled my hair growth.

I apply it every to every-other-day in the mixture of ORS Tea Tree oil & MN.
Afterwards I massage it into my scalp.

Be prepared to experience tremendous growth with this product. The weeks that I do use it my new growth spurs out of control...causing me to have to re-do my Cornrows on a weekly basis.

I don't experience any side effects while using this products.

I voted yes. I add MN to my scalp when I'm not using Bee Mine. My stylist was amazed at my growth. I'm going to ask her if my thin area has filled or thickened up some.

i think im going to try some to this stuff too! I'm a little nervous about going to the checkout aisle to purchase it...lol, i hope they have a self service line!

LOL!!! right. i am going to try it to give it a trial period.... maybe until the end of our challenge..... and i cheated for thanksgiving

I still use it. I use the Family Dollar Store brand. I buy 5 boxes at a time, and use it straight with no problems. I just moisturize more frequently and yes, the new growth is amazing!!!

As a matter of fact, when I got to the cashier,(I was the only one in line), she asked me..."hey, does this stuff really work, because I've tried the other brands and they don't work for me" I was like.... Uh...I use it on my scalp and my scalp only...makes my hair grow" She was like..."Oh"...*hears crickets*

LOL!!!! im getting more convinced....

I would say give it a try to see if it works for you...I applied it two times a while ago but got bad headaches afterwards so I stopped using it...I don't know if it would have given me results but some ladies have gotten great results.

That happened to a couple of ladies a while back, wish I could remember the thread to post for you. Check the percentage of MN... If you used 4% MN, try 2% MN, that should help

And that was just the other day. Chile, puleez....I buy it with no shame, don't care who is on line behind me, whatever. My hair is growing. I go to the same store every time. Since I'm wearing wigs now (until next year...you can never have a bad hair day with them), I have cornrows so it is easy for me to apply. Very simple. I still deep condition with Mega Tek, but in my opinion, the MN is the truth. As a matter of fact, there was a lady in the same aisle with me, and she too was looking at it...I said "scuse me" and picked up all 5 boxes they had left..... when I walked away, I can almost feel her rolling her eyes at me...:lachen: WHATEVA!! I said to myself.....lemme find out she's a lurker....:lachen:

Yeah Im terrible. BUT if it works then....
i think i will have to add sallys GVP conditioners && all that. and then probably buy LUSHs shampoos cuz theyre natural... and their caca noir henna. and then my usual EVOO && all that. mine is hollywood beauty, i cannot find castor oil anyway. NONETHELESS, im gonna have to add MN to my scalp treatment lol.

:lachen::lachen::lachen: That is tooooo funny! OMG!

how does everyone apply it? It's a cream right? Do u guys just part your hair and rub it in your scalp? Do you apply it every day?

Yes. I make thin parts and apply and I do it every day. On every third day, I either shampoo or condition wash with LeKair and then start all over. I plan to do this until December 7 take a break and start up in the New Year. I mix some of it with MN and just apply this to the nape area. HTH

I don't use it mostly because I'm afraid of what it may do to the rest of the body. Stuff that goes on your scalp can easily get into your blood stream. Who knows what having of MN in your system for long periods of time will do to you? Also, dosage wise, if you're applying it daily, you're putting A LOT into your system.

I'm not trying to put my nose up at anyone, I have tried it for a short period of time, but as I thought more about it I stopped.

im a pharmacy student and found this information on one of my peer reviewed sites called clinical pharmacology:
regarding miconazole nitrate (topical & intravaginal)

Topical and Intravaginal administration: Only small amounts of intravaginal miconazole are absorbed systemically (in the blood), and there have been no reports indicating that miconazole nitrate is absorbed following application to intact skin. Average peak serum concentrations of 4.2 ng/ml have been reported after six daily applications of the 14-day regimen for vulvovaginal candidiasis. About 1% of this dose was recovered in urine and feces. Distribution, metabolism, and elimination of topical miconazole are the same as after intravenous administration.

((Yogurt is also used in treating candida and has provided equal, sometimes better results))

I say go for it! I used to use MN when I first joined and I got a lot of results... IDK why I stopped using it...

But they only tested in the nether regions and only for 6 days. People are using it on their scalp and for way longer than 6 and 14 days at a time.

With that said, if you want to use it, use it. I'm not trying to sway anyone, just shared my thoughts about the subject.

That's interesting about the yogurt.

There was this guy at my old job that said that you could treat yeast infections with yogurt and a pickle.

He was serious.

We laughed at him like hell... but isn't it funny that it comes up later? :lachen:
