Wash and relaxer

I know that this question has been asked but.. I washed my hair yesterday how long must I wait to relax my hair couple days a week?

the directions on relaxers usually say 3 days. I have done it the next day with on ill effects.

what happened when you washed it too soon?

I've washed the day before I got a relaxer and didn't have any problems

I prefer two days though, just to make sure my hair is fully dry
