TRANSITION OVER! 11-22-14
KCCC!:lachen: I am finally able to get my hair to curl like it did when I had a texturizer! I only needed to use a little bit, too! It is the best gel I ever used. I need a lot of IC gel to get the same effect. The best thing is that my hair did not have to be soaking wet when I used it. Now I can wash n go in the winter with no problem!:spinning::yep: I used the knot today on top, but I think I can use another conditioner underneath instead. I will try that out and let you guys know. My fotki pics should be ready by Saturday. I haven't had a chance to get anything done this week. I do have to say that I love the scent of it.:lick: I will never let this supply run out! It gets 2 thumbs up from me!

I'm glad you like it! You can definitly use other conditioners under it other than Knot Today. Can't wait to see your fotki updates!

And for those who don't know what the heck yall talking about KCCC is ____________________?

Ok thanks to GOOGLE
Kinky Curly Curling Custard (KCCC)

I want to try this soooo bad, but I'm afraid of spending $25 for a product I might not like.

I will check out your Fotki on Saturday

at one point on the KC website, they said you could use V05 Strawberries n Cream as an alternative to the Knot Today Conditioner. I tried it when I was into KC products and it worked just fine.

Can someone please inform me of how to use this and get really really good results. The first time i used it I used vo5 strawberries and cream, and probably way too much KCCC on really wet hair. I got decent definition but my hair took forever and a day (literally) to dry.
This time i used KCKT and KCCC and the hair was dampish. I got ok definition that started to go once the hair was drying. What am I doing wrong? I'm seeing ppl have some fantastic results with their hair drying almost the same way it looked wet. HELP please!!! TIA

I have a twa, so my hair is probably going to style super easy. I used a You tube video for help. LadyKnyc ( I think is her name) She styles her hair in 6 twists to section it off. She had already CWed her hair. First she finger rakes it thru- concentrate on the roots, then finger comb it down each section. Add some water in a spray bottle if you think you need it. My natural hair took a while to dry, so I think that comes with the territory. :lachen: I don't care because I can refresh with water and go.:yep: My curls really are defined. I also have a few 4B patches that wave, but don't curl.

Would this be good on natural 4 b hair that's midback length?

Any other suggestions for leavins besides the strawberry VO5?

TIA

I hate you for this:lol: Darn you for this post, I mean it! There goes 25 bucks!

edited: wrong forum code:lol: I really need to get out of the house:lachen:

ok thanks for the help. i'll try this. I was definitely not getting the roots that well so i didn't get definition from root to tip.

My experience is that when I let it airdry my hair shrinks & doesn't necessarily look exactly the same as it did when it was wet. It still has definition but way too much shrinkage.

Here's how I get good results--but w/heat:

On soaking wet hair, I take small - medium sections, making sure they are really wet & then I put a small amount of leave-in on 1st (Giovanni, NTM, cheapie cond, u name it) & then KCCC on the section I'm working with.

I then spray water on that section & stretch the product down the length of the hair. This also helps to dilute the product so your hair isn't sticky or left w/a white residue.

After that I simply use a blowdryer w/a diffuser & stretch/dry the section to about 90% dry.

When I'm done I have fluff & bounce & very little shrinkage. HTH...

I'm looking forward to the day when I can use it on my midback length hair. I think it'll do fine for you. For other cond recommendations, see above.

that sounds like what i do with my curly pudding...but this is a gel, right?

Yes, Kinky Curly Custard by far is the best product I have used on my hair for definition. I sitll love Fantasia as a cheaper alternative, but the results don't compare to the results I get with KCC.

KCCC is the best. I wish it wasn't so darn expensive but I love it. It's great on 2nd day hair as well for all of you who do co-wash every day. I've just spritzed my hair with water and puff it I still have some definition and hold.

Yes this is a keeper. Tried it for the first time Thanksgiving then just reactivated it with a little water and smoothed with my fingers. This morning just used Knot Today and a dollop of KCCC + Denman.
