Sooo can I go to the salon with my hair wet w/ deep conditioner. in it?

I'm sure you can ask her not to shampoo it and to just rinse and straighten it. I like my stylists products (aveda) so I let her shampoo and lightly condition when I got there. But just let her know to only rinse, blow dry, and iron if thats what you would like, it should not be a problem.

Ok found my solution bc I do want their products used...

I just deep conditioned and cowashed and put in leave in and evoo. I put it in two braids and I'll go in ready in the morning with kinda sorta deep conditioned hair, but still ok to be washed etc etc. I'll post results

I ALWAYS do. Sometimes If I have't poo'd my hair prior to the DC I will let them poo and con. Or I will poo and DC at home, do to the salon with the DC still in may hair and just let them rinse and con my hair.

Btw they charge the same.

It really helped cause that blow dryer was brutal


and he would skimp on the Conditioner, I hated that

yes. you will still get charged the same and you should, since that is part of the process that you are opting out of yourself. that's like going to a nail salon and stating that "you already soak your feet, so can you cut down on the price of a pedicure". some stylists would let people do that because certain people don't know how to shampoo and rinse their hair properly. i assist my cousin occasionally and some of her clients would still have dandruff buildup, flakes all of the place, and soap still in their hair. she also used certain products on her clients and didn't know what they were using at home, so that would be a conflict right there. you don't want to go behind someone and if a chemical reaction was to occur, a stylist could get blamed for it. like if you were doing your own protein treatments before you came to the salon and he/she had to work behind that. now i have come with my hair wash and conditioned to just get it cut and leave and go style it at home.

Yes, it should be ok. I go to the shop with conditioner in my hair. All they have to do is just rinse and start styling. I get $10 off the price.

Hmmm, never heard of this. I would call ahead to verify that it would not compromise her license, and if she said it was fine I would definitley do it.

First off hey Brockstar! Where have you been? But back to the question at hand... When I go to the Dominicans I always apply a conditioner and seal it with coconut oil the day before. If I'm going to work the next day before I go to the salon I just wear it pulled back. Well I pretty much wear it back daily. I will get another blow out in January to check my length and growth and again in April for the same thing and to decide if ill cut off the remaining permed ends. I do let them use their products on my hair but I feel much better knowing I've preped my hair ahead of time.

I'm getting a trim today and already washed, rollerest & flat ironed my own hair. It will be like $15 for just a trim. I don't see it as a problem to go to a salon with conditioner already in.

I did this before when I went to Mastercuts. I washed, conditioned and rinsed. All she had to do was blow dry, flat iron and cut my hair. I left in a conditioner and she loved it, even asked me what it was so she could buy it. I don't remember if it was cheaper but I think it was.
