that "dr. miracle" is a white man?
thi may have already been written but i havent seen it.
this may not matter to some of you but i find it odd that in the adds there is a back hand that hands the women the products but the man behind the products is whit. now i use and love plenty of products that are advertised for white people but whats with the false advertisement? is that false advertisment?

i got the info that he is not a black man from cathy howse site so i dont know if its true orr not but if it is thats funny.

Umm....that explains soooo much about the commercials....:look:

Gurl the ladies on this site are up on everything. EVERYTHING! When they posted James Brown's will I was like there are no secrets in here. And sure enough Dr. Miracles was exposed just over a year ago.

I think it would be funny if there was such a person as "Dr. Miracle."

ETA - here is a link to the story of Dr. Miracle.

The only "founder" I could find a pic of was Ollie Johnson (on the left):

oh wow, didn't know that. i remember an article about how the model on the relaxer box is his wife, so i assumed...you know...

I'm not surprised. Look at those ridiculous, stereo-typical commercials :ohwell:

Yeah, I knew that, from when he first came out, that is ashame, but I agree with Honeydew!! Most are made by white people, using black faces to sell! you see how they spell everything, Do gro, Supa Gro, Don't Be Bald etc. and many more crap.

That is my biggest pet peeve. They deliberately spell things incorrectly and use bad grammar to attract black customers. It's insulting and one of the reasons I've never bought certain products.

You don't see all that spelling on Suave etc. I mean come on, It seems all or most say "Miracle or Supa Gro" Grow 3000, Fertilizer. And then the BSS ran by Iranians always try to tell the black women how to grow her hair and they will Listen, saying how good the products is, I asked them have they used it and what results did they get? They just look at me crazy, then I remember one time they were trying to say that ORS Shea Butter was Real Genuine Shea Butter, of course I had to interven and tell that sista that wasn't real shea butter, I think they Hated to see me coming LOL!!!

Half the products we use are made by white people.

Half? *lol* I assume more than half. In fact, I almost assume that if it's in the BSS, it's most likely owned by white people. Bronner Bros was the last black owned one, weren't they, and they sold the company a couple of years ago, didn't they? :nono:

I think Dudley may be the last one...but I am not sure.

Dr. Miracle stuff is the worst.

Bronner bros. is still owned by the family, but dudley I think is going out of businesses or getting ready to sell.

But pretty much all of them are owned by Loreal or some other company.

large corporations own lots of these smaller companies.

Luckily - I don't buy most of this Crap.

I would never buy dr. miracles....But hey................ that is me....
