that was lovely too see..i like too see dads doing thier dauhters hair of any race...its just really beautiful...

 My daddy did my hair, too. Except mine didn't look that good and him doing it hurt like crazy! :lachen: I still have nightmares about that tiny yellow comb he used, "Combaloo". She looks so relaxed with him doing her hair. I'm jealous!

That's sweet! I agree with the other poster-he needs to give Brad and Angelina some tips for Zahara. :yep:

Too cute, when I have kids imma make their dad do their hair. I wonder how that will go. LOL J/K wont having my kids looking a plum fool.....

That's beautiful! Pops did a great job!!

I wouldn't let my stepfather come within 2 feet of my hair. I remember years ago he did my hair for school one day when my mother was sick. He had me walking around looking like a scarecrow. Man did I get clowned. :lachen:

:antlers:

My dad attempted to braid my hair when i was 6 after his divorce with my mom. My first grade called him for a meeting and asked him to never ever ever try it again :lachen: and recommended a good braider. :yep: It was that horrible.

This comment from photo #7 irritated me because the journalist was reiterating another stereotype. Healthy hair regardless of race does bounce and it does behave. UGH!

Cute pictures but....I'm not as impressed as most of y'all. First of all, I didn't like this comment - that the parents considered "letting her hair go" as a statement of "freedom" - why would you not groom any child's hair (or keep them clean) as a cultural statement? Would they consider not combing their white child's hair as a statement? I'm glad they cared enough to learn how to do her hair - but to me, the story came across like they are doing her some type of favor by grooming her hair? Isn't that their duty as her parents?

Another statement of her parents, at photo #2: "They wanted others to accept her, regardless of her looks." What, does she have horns growing out of her head?? :wallbash:She's a beautiful little girl - why wouldn't anyone accept her if her parents just present her to the world, clean and pressed, like any other child would be?

And as far as having researched "the best products" for her hair - then how is it that he has a drawer full of Vaseline? And...a fork??????

He did do a good job, and her hair did look nice and healthy though.

Her hair looks wonderful! Especially compared to the kids running around my neighborhood.:perplexed He's doing an awesome job. Cute story!

Not to be negative but Im almost starting to wonder if this is a joke or mock...
A fork..the commentary and the products

Nonetheless, I'd style my niece's hair in the same way.

Wow...Beautiful!

Angelina Jolie has no excuse!

That's exactly what I thouht. Childrens hair should flourish, they are growing so fast and efficiently.
By the way the little girl has a wonderful family, the father treats her well...not to mention her hair is kawaii:blush:(cute)!

Awww...bless your Dad's heart for trying. How cute!

OP, this is a beautiful story in pics.

Her precious hair is growing beautifully, what's to mock:perplexed?
I think I have used some things to do my hair that, well let's just say we wouldn't call hair tools:lachen:

Looks like twists to me and they look great. Big props to them for learning how to care for her hair.

All I can say is wow. It leaves no excuse for anyone to have their kids walking around looking like buck wheat.

eta: I'm not certain but it looks like the fork is used for precision parts, b/c he also uses a wide tooth blue comb.
