Hi Ladies...im fairly new here and I'mm still trying to figure some things out...any help is appreciated.:yep:

I'm currently 10 weeks into stretching my relaxer, I'm not sure how long I plan to strech but it will probably be 12-14 weeks.

I've decided that I dont really want to relax bone straight again because I like my texture so I was thinking about texlaxing, but I'm not sure how this can be done since I've always gone bone straight.

Would I just texlax the new growth and then continue to do this until the bone straight ends grow out??:ohwell:

I'm just confused about this and I tried to search but found nothing...please help :look:

bumppity bump. I just got a relaxer and it's soooo straight but I would like more texture too so I want to know the answer also. tia

Yeap! that would be how you do it, you just relax the newgrowth, it was someone here who is Transitioning to Texlax hair, maybe they will chime in, I can't remember who though.

I am transistioning from relax to texlax. Pretty much the way you explained is the way i am doing it. I trim the relax ends about every other retouch. I love that i made this decision for my daughter and I. The hair is thicker and healthier looking. I wish you luck.

Thank You! I was hoping this thread made sense. I'm happy to know its possible. I guess i'll do it this way and then start trimming the relaxed ends when I get to a comfortable length.

What relaxer are you using to texlax if you dont mind me asking?

I have also gone from relaxed to texlaxed. My ends are relaxed and the NG is gets texlaxed now every 6 months. I have thicker hair now because of it.

I use QP the one that says for body. I also add any kind of cheap conditioner to my relaxer. I have found this to be the best technique for me and my daughter

I wanted to do this but I know I don't have a uniform texture on my whole head and I'm afraid it would end up looking a mess. :-/ You should go for it though if you like your texture!

I'm actually scared it will look a mess too...but I'd rather try and then if it doesnt work then i'll be stuck either transitioning to natural or go back to relaxing bone straight.

This is pretty much what I'm planning to do. i am 41 weeks post. I was attempting to go natural but that didn't work. I am planning to texlax tomorrow. I've never done it before, so I'm not sure how it's going to come out. I will be doing it myself because I don't know of any stylist that I can trust to do what I ask. I'll post pics once I've done it.

this is what i am doing now , but i dont know if im doing it wrong because ...my texlaxed roots matt and dread up ... causing my hair too look like crap . Im contemplating just going back bone straight
