For as many problems I've had with this head of mine, I can at least say that I've maintained quite a bit of growth:yep: Now if I can just get this moisture balance thing down and figure out what to do with my hair, I'll be cool! One little oddity I've noticed about my hair is when I attempt to style it, the front will stand up nicely, the middle will compact to my head giving me a flat look, and the back will NOT stay up but will "hang" so I'm constantly picking to get some uniformity.:wallbash: Anyone know where I'm coming from? Will that improve with legth? Ok, here's the pic...

I'm relaxed so I cant answer your questions, but your growth looks great!!!! :yep:

You are definitely growing and maintaining length :yep:

Thanks ladies! The bigger my hair gets, the smaller my face gets....this is a good thing!

First of all, your hair looks great! That's a big difference! In regards to the bolded my hair does the same thing but I dont pick it out (I'm worried that may be too much mani), I just keep shaping it throughout the day by pulling it out with my fingers. I cant say that it will change over time and even if it will, depending on how much shrinkage you get it will take a while for your hair to hang down. A lot of ladies do twist-outs/braid-outs to get their hair to look uniform all over.

Excellent progress!! I have the same problem except the front stands up because it is alot shorter than the rest and the middle and the back hang!! I think it will grow out with some length...

Looks great!!!

I agree with the bolded. You may have a few different textures, which is why some parts may be more tightly curled than others. When I wear a fro, I lay a scarf over and gently to pat until everything is smooth and uniform in length. Which may shorten the longer-looking areas a bit, bit it's a decent compromise... Otherwise twist/braidouts is a good way to go if you don't want to have to worry about it all day. Happy Growing!

congrats on the growth, your hair looks great. what have you done differently that has cause the growth?

My hair does the same thing: bali hai (high) on the top (always standing at full salute), skull cap in the middle, and mullet swag in the back. My hair on the sides of my head have helped though; as they grow out, everything looks more uniform.

Beautiful, you are doing a great job, it looks so soft and that's some great growth you've got going on there.

I am so glad you mentioned the hair thing because my hair does the exact same thing. It looked really bad when i first BC'd and as my hair grew i just thought that the middle wasn't growing as fast.
I now realise that i must just have different textures and the middle just shrinks more than the rest, my nape hangs because it's more like a 4a (maybe even a 3 something) texture, the curls are looser and silkier in texture. My front is my favourite because it does what i tell it lol.

It definately does get better as the hair gets longer, and like others have mentioned there are plenty of styles you can do where you don't even notice the difference. I recently measured different parts of my hair and realised they're all the same length (give or take) so it's definately shrinkage from different textures.
