I have a friend who has really super dry hair and needs to find a sulfates and paraben free shampoo that is at least kind of inexpensive because he is on a limited income.

Let me know what you like or dislike about them and if you are feeling super awesome where these can be found so I can pass them along.

TIA ladies.

Baking soda and water. I concentrate it on the scalp but allow it to get to my hair as it rinses out.

Baking soda is like a dollar a box.

It doesn't dry my hair out at all and I usually only follow it with coconut oil.

Thank you ladies.

Msa when you use straight up baking soda like that if you're already having dry skin/scalp hair issues would that make it worse at all?

I'm thinking out loud here but could you mix it with an oil if there is a dryness issue and have it still be effective?

Well, it's kind of like you can make your own mixture depending on what your needs are. For instance, I've done baking soda and conditioner on wet hair. My scalp still gets really clean with that but my hair is moisturized. I've never done oil in the mixture but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Another alternative to shampoo is castile soap (dr. bronners). I dilute that with water and olive oil because it can be drying. The soap comes in big bottles and if you dilute it, it works out to be pretty inexpensive.

OH I think the castille soap recipe would be great. He loves castille soap and his wife uses evoo in her hair.

I say Giovanni smooth as silk shampoo..It can be found at Gnc, whole foods, Henry's and the other day I went to Walgreens and they were even carrying it HTH

Co Washing is my best friend. It aids in adding moisture to the hair. Also if you can get your hand on the old CON. You will be good. I co wash majority of the time. Its easy and not time consuming.
