J. LO tried it... not sure if she succeeded or not
but... I think a hijab would be a really awesome
protective style and it's truly protective...
not one cm of your is exposed to the elements
so... I pose this challenge...
can you make the hijab look flyy???

:look:

Without a shadow of a doubt, you can make hijabs as fly as anything else. But considering the general feeling round these parts is that protective styles are boring/dull/un-fly, I can't see too many non-Muslim folks joining this challenge. I could be wrong though - and I'd love to see any results to keep in my style box... :yep:

Though, I have to admit, I'm not feeling J Lo.

Cute headwrap! I like this one in the pic attached because she looks really stylish in it

By the way, I like the black shirt, where did you get it from and what does it say entirely?

Thank you. :smirk:
I got it from chilis when I donated.
It says create a pepper to fight childhood cancer

Ok... this is not a hijab...
but I think I'm getting closer to flyyer alternatives.

I don't like this one so much...

This black sweater is hot.
Have you seen this type of hoodie thing... Pink is on MTV all
this week... she has been wearing a red one... I think it's dope.

I think this would look cute with some skinny jeans and a nice fitted t shirt

OH!! I am so down! Since I wear hijabs anyway...maybe you guys can give me some more ideas. Okay I'm really gonna have to learn how to post my pics on here.

Ladies I found a couple of styles for you. I may try a few this winter. I hope my head is not too big.

Good idea ladies, its getting cold out and i need to be able to cover my head..and be stylish without a itchy hat...

I don't wanna kill the thread lol, but the meaning of Hijab must have been misunderstood, It's not supposed to look fly :)

Although I get the idea, and im in since I wear hijab anyway :)

I was thinking this too. But I'm not Muslim, so I didnt want to say anything.

Saida, correct me if I'm wrong but dont women wear hijab so that they wont draw attention to themselves or something to that effect?

Yeah, when I saw the thread I was like  but I get the point :yep:
I wear a headwrap or scarf damn near every day. I luv them.
I get mine from http://rastaheadwraps.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1&zenid=9679aaef1ea576fd0c134602d9d74bd6
I like them cause they are stretchy and breathable.
I also use regular fabric.

Yeah... I didn't mean it literally...
fashion does borrow from culture...
I was hoping to see this maybe becoming
a trend... wouldn't that be so cool...
I think it's much better than those tweed hats
and cotton hats we wear in winters...
this could be an alternative...
could be fruitless or it could inspire
women to try something new.

I'm all about that.

I saw a scarf tied similar to this at the Gap last winter... I think it could look
flyy on the right person
