so i bought the pantene relaxed & natural mask on sunday
and tried is as a DC, but wasnt really feeling it that way
i didnt want to waste it...so i decided to try leaving it in
i actually baggied it in overnight the first night
but didnt rinse it out

so i put it on my twists

and i swear to goodness MY HAIR IS NO LONGER BREAKING.

i've been having horrible problems with my hair breaking off at the slightest touch. asjdflkajsdf.

the past few days, i've just been pulling on my hair
to see if hair would come off
just to make sure i'm not out of my mind
but i've lost extremely minimal hair these past few day
and i'm honestly in awe.

i bought some avocado oil yesterday (use for the first time)
and i really like how it softens my hair

it does have coneage
so, if you build up very easily
i'd go light on it if you try it this way

but yeah...i'm in shock...

hopefully it will continue to be good to me!

but shhhh dont tell anybody
i wasnt supposed to buy anything new. hahaha

Interesting! I've left some in once, but its hard to judge results based on one go...I may have to try this again...or at least add it to the ends of my twists before rolling. Thank you for this!!!!

My ends are so darn weak...every little bit helps. I'll let you know what I think!

ttyl,

yeah,
it is pretty interesting.

i dont know how or why it's working for me
but i'll take it.

i know a lot of people say the r&n mask is great for softening the hair
and that it "melts" through tangles and such

but i havent heard much about the "breakage defense" part
i'm wondering if anyone else who uses it (no matter HOW you've used it)
has experienced stronger hair...or hair that breaks less?

like i said, i've been pulling on my twists lol
and instead of breaking at the ends
they spring back into place.

i guess it's helped me regain elasticity

I use it the same way when I wear my hair in it's natural state. In fact i am lying in bed now with the r&n mask my hair which i am wearing in twists under a plastic cap LOL ... I will probably wash it out tomorrow but I have gone days without washing it out.

Btw he pantene mask contains amodimethicone which prevents breakage and it is also one of the few cones which do NOT cause build up which is why you will usually find amodimethicone in quality pro salon deep treatments.

ooooh really?

i've heard that amodimethicone wasnt "bad" like other cones, but i never knew why. thanks for the info! rock it! prevents breakage? ahhhh...i'm guessing that's the magic. it's the 3rd ingredient, too...high content.

Just want to say thanks for this post because I bought this stuff after everyone was ranting and raving about it and when I tried it like a DC did nothing and I was like wtf this stuff is wack but thennnnnnnnnnnnn I read this post and left it on my hair baggied almost two days and my hair was super soft after...I had been having problems getting my hair soft again like before after having braids and this did the trick so I guess I don't have to sell the masks I have now lol
