so i have scoured the boards and also read the newbie spots and i've found a lot of threads on WHAT texlaxing is, how it does or does not differ with texturizing and had to go one by one to get a feel for what ladies were doing. is it possible for someone to tell me their step-by-step? i just texlaxed for the first time with soft & beautiful and i added 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil to the mix to slow the relaxing process. i also did my head in halves (texlaxed the front and rinsed then the back), an idea i got from a fotki member. so, can you tell me YOUR best methods and best products for the followup?

The way I texlax is not what the avererage person does, however... I would like to point out that texlaxing and texturizing is the same thing.

Texlax - texturizing the hair with a regular relaxer

Also, some people feel that texlaxed hair is more processed than texturized hair. IMO that is not always the case. It depends on how much an individual leaves the product in and that person's hair.

They are really synonyms with just a shade of difference between them.

I texlax with ORS no lye super strength. I don't add anything to it, I just relax and smooth like a regular relaxer, 20 minutes altogether (my hair doesn't come out straight because it's resistant). I spray with aphogee green tea keratin spray as an in between conditioning step and neutralize with the ORS creamy aloe poo.

I texlax just like I would put on a regular relaxer I just use Motions Herbal because I know that imy hair reverts with this relaxer and I also mix it with conditioner. Last time I texlaxed I only used about 2 oz. of relaxer and like 3-4 oz. of conditioner and oils and did a relax/dc. I really like the results.

I would recomment doing some more texlax/text searches because I have been able to find lots of info on how ladies texlax
